“So, the Walcotts were the first... at least, the first we know about.” Stiles told his dad as he tapped evidence, crime scene photos and such to the board.

“Four murders-- Sean, his brother, and their parents. They were killed by a professional assassin called the Mute; weapon of choice, a military tomahawk.”

I nodded and continued the explanation. “Right but then, the Mute was killed by my uncle Peter after he tried to blow up Derek and my parents with a claymore mine.”

Although it could have been partly because the Mute almost killed him in the loft and would have succeeded if Dad hadn't found him on time.

I’m not happy that they almost got killed or blown up. And I’m not particularly mad Peter killed the guy, but if he were alive he’d be more useful.

At least I think so. I was worried about Derek because my parents told me he almost blew himself up because he didn't smell the explosive powder from the bomb. Which already wasn't good.

“Next was Demarco. He delivered a keg to the party at Lydia's lake house...and got decapitated outside his car." It was a very disturbing sight.

I also don't know how I didn't realize Demarco was a werewolf when I have seen him before plenty of times at parties.

"And then, last night, twenty-three-year-old Carrie Hudson.” One of the other names of the list Lydia found.

“It's a Deadpool–“ Scott told Stilinski. “A hit-list of supernatural creatures.” I pulled out the printed copy from my jacket and handed it to him. “This is only part of it... the rest still has to be decoded.”

“Who found this list?” Stilinski asked as he examined the paper. “Lydia.” I answered.

Stilinski sighed like he regretted asking the question. “How?”

“She wrote it.” Stiles said. “Actually, she transcribed it... without realizing it.”

Stilinski sighed again. “Banshee?” We all nodded. It would take longer to explain how she ended up finding it in the first place. “Beautiful. All right, what are these numbers next to the names?”

“We're getting to that.” Stiles told him. “First, you need to know that the code was broken with a cipher key.”

“Wait, you mean, like, a...like a keyword?”

Stiles and I shake our heads. “It's actually a name–“

"Allison." Scott said, resting his hands on the desk in sadness. Learning Allison's name was the chipper key wasn't exactly easy. But I liked to look at it as her way of helping us from beyond. Sort of.

“Her name broke a third of the list.” I told Stilinski. Scott pulled himself together. “And now we think there's two other cipher keys.”

“Which will give us the rest of the names.” Stilinski pieced together. “Okay... so, how do we get the cipher keys?”

“Same way we got the code.” I said. “Lydia. She's been at the lake house all weekend, trying to find the other two key words.” I just drove down from there earlier this morning because the boys needed me.

Lydia just spent most of the time staring at the record player just begging for it to give her the other name. It was depressing to be honest.

Kira and Malia were with her because I wasn't about to leave her alone at the lake house with nothing but her thoughts.

“You didn't know about Demarco or Carrie, hmmm?” Stilinski asked us, specifically me. “And what about these other two names on the list-- uh, Kayleen Bettcher and Elias Town? They're Werewolves, too?”

I shrugged. “I really don’t know. But when we gave power to the nemeton, Deaton said it would draw supernatural creatures here.”

“Here being Beacon Hills, or Beacon County?” Stilinski questioned. “The population of Beacon Hills is just under thirty-thousand–“

“--And dropping–“ Stiles said grimly.

Stilinski continued. “But, if we're talking Beacon County, then you're looking at close to five hundred thousand.” He sits down. “Look, how many Werewolves, Banshees, Kitsunes, and whatever the hell else is out there are we talking about? And what if the next cipher key uncovers not twelve names, but one hundred?”

We shake our heads. It was a good question but we had a theory about it. “We don't think there will be that many. There's a limit.”

I nodded. “Because of the numbers. When Kate took young Derek to my family’s vault, she, Peter and my mom were attacked.

Somebody came in and stole our money. Mostly inheritance. We’re pretty sure all these numbers will add up to 117 Million. The exact amount of money my family had.”

Stilinski looked at me with wide eyes. “117 Million?”

I nodded. “The money from my family’s vault, the Hale vault and is being used by someone to finance all these murders.” That makes me sick to my stomach.

All these people were supernatural like me. And my family built and protected this town, and our belongings were being used to kill people like us.

“Someone who wants every supernatural in Beacon Hills dead.” Scott said.

“So, the coded list goes out, and someone, these professional assassins get that list…”

“And a cipher key.” Stiles added.

“And then they go after the names on the list-- they being killers with no mouths, tomahawks, thermo-cut wires that can take your head off…”

“Let me see…” Stiles thought. “Carrie was also stabbed.” Stiles points at the pictures from Carrie's crime scene. “What's this mark?”

They seemed to be some small and precise cuts on her body. They don't look like any injuries knives leave behind after a stabbing. I've watched one too many crime shows with Stiles.

Stilinski shakes his head. “We're not sure yet. We're still waiting on the M.E.'s report. There's one other thing I don't get. How did this new assassin know that Demarco was going to be at the lake house?”

I chuckled. “Everyone knows he delivers kegs to teenagers for a little extra cash.” Everyone. Except parents. I really hope Stilinski doesn't out us to our parents.

Stilinski snaps his fingers. “Ahh. So, whoever ordered the keg killed Demarco.”

My chuckle fades. “Yeah, it was someone at the party…” Stiles realized. I sighed and closed my eyes. Killers really do come in all shapes and sizes.

“A student.”
