This fantastic boy is Kain Shallwood. He is an 18 year old werewolf who was never told what a mate is. His wolf is called Meta and he is ranked as beta in his pack, though he is quite the loner. He will only speak with close friends and will only talk to others if forced to try make new friends. He has social anxiety and ofter suffers panic attacks.
One day an alpha, Alpha Ace of the Blood Moon Pack specifically visits his pack and they become good friends after seeing him frequently in the pack. Ace was spending a week in different packs to try and find his mate when he stays in this pack for less time than expected. Pack members assume he has found his mate from what they were told and stay out of his way. They never expected to lose their beta in the middle of the night.

When he sees Kain he instantly knew, though he finds out something weird about his mate... He doesn't know what a mate is, he's shy and he's the beta, meaning the strongest alpha has to take said beta to his pack without him knowing why.
