The Alpha's unknowing mate (WIP)

Chapter 1

Kain's POV

I woke up to my alarm clock yet again; only this time, I didn't slam it into the closest wall to me. I chucked it straight across my room. Apparently, this sound shocked the alpha since he came into my room seeming shocked. I groaned in the annoyance of being half awake. Sometimes, I forget his room is beside mine in the pack house.

"What the hell was tha-" Micheal (the alpha) said before cutting himself off and looking at the floor beside him.

"Hah, oops?" I responded to him.

"Never mind that, get dressed and go down to the gymnasium. Alpha Ace is coming to our pack, so be prepared."

"What?! Why's he coming to our pack? Did someone do something???"I was panicking as per usual.

"No, he's staying in pack for the week looking for his mate." When he said that, he smiled at me and walked out.

What. The. Fuck.

Did he just say that Ace, the strongest alpha in the world, is coming to our pack in search of his mate?

I sat there for a good few minutes before I took a shower and pulled on a black hoodie and a pair of ripped black jeans with fishnets under them. What can I say? I'm weird? I just like this style of clothing.

I go downstairs and into the gymnasium where I just so happened to see every single unmated pack member lined up in rows. I joined in the middle of the mess of people and waited.

A few minutes later, I see a man walk in. He was gorgeous with his black hair and dark brown eyes. When he entered, I smelled the best smell ever. A mix of spring water and cinnamon. I questioned why I smelled that but just ignored it.

Micheal followed in after him trying to stay as professional as possible.

All the girls around me were freaking out, and I scoffed. Sure, he was hot as hell, but why show how fucking annoying you are in front of him?

Why am I thinking this way?

He sniffed the air, obviously trying to find the scent of his mate when his eyes widened. I kept my head down.  The girls around huddled close to one another in excitement, whispering about their fantasies.

I look up at his eyes and see them staring directly at me. I had only intended to look for a second or two, but I was lost in his eyes in a millisecond. I look at all of the refined colours in his eyes. The way they glisten sucking me in more and more by the second.

I squeeze my eyes shut before I start drooling over him, and I whisper to myself a quiet "fuck," forcing myself to look down at the floor again.

He leaves the gymnasium, and when I open my eyes, I see the girls whisper, wondering why he didn't say for someone to come to him.

A group of girls that had noticed him staring at me were sending death glares and were whispering among themselves, but I just growled in response, forgetting my social anxiety for a second before shyly looking away. Being beta, they stopped almost instantly, a few of them sending one last death glare before turning back around.

I went over to Alpha and asked him why Ace had left, but all he said was, "Apparently he found his mate but doesn't want to reveal who yet"

"What?! All that for him to just keep it a secret?" Selfish if you ask me.

I headed back to my room and felt a panic attack reaching the surface. They happened quite often, and this one was because Ace had stared at me longer than anyone ever had, and I was thinking he was going to do something. I quickly thought of a way to distract myself and grabbed my phone. I started scrolling through tiktok, and my favourite song comes on, so I start rolling my hips back and forth since that is what the dance is. I had completely forgotten about the panic attack by now. I favourite the sound and video then turn around. (Remember about this dance for chapter 3)

I had my headphones in and hadn't realised that someone had entered my room. The alpha stood there with his back facing me, not wanting to be seen as intrusive.

"Ace wants to see you later tonight, so he'll drop by your room if that's okay," He says to me.

"Al-Micheal, you know I'm shy," I say, covering my eyes with the fluff that I call hair.

"I'm telling him to come over anyway. You need to loosen up. " He reasoned with me, which made me fall into the trap.

I sigh. "Fine Alpha" I sigh again.

"This doesn't mean I'm being all open, and hello blah blah blah, though," I tell him.

He glares at me then shrugs his shoulders, and walks away.

I felt the panic attack from earlier brimming, and tears start the leak from my eyes down my cheeks onto my hoodie. I take deep breaths in an attempt to calm down before Alpha Ace got to my room. I was trembling from the panic attack. My face red and eyes puffy. I heard footsteps from outside my room. They stopped at my door.
