PS. This is one of the stories I wrote as a beginner when writing had become my obsession. It's full of cringe and cliche and you might end up with a creased nose and a guilty conscience for reading toward the end because it's typical drama. But you can try it since it is only 11 chapters and very short... Sugar Sweet. ☺️

Not to mention I was a teenage and this was the best I could come up with back then 🙈

Might come out cringy for many of you but you're welcomed to read it 😅

ENJOY READING Anyway! 🥰

1. Wedding bells

It was a perfect sunny afternoon on a hot summer day. The sun was spitting flames from its mouth and causing people to die due to the heat.

Nevertheless, Texas was working just about fine and everyone was going about their work even on such a scorching day.

But a hot summer afternoon hardly mattered to the members of Dawson family as they were busy planning their daughter's marriage ceremony that was round the corner.

"This looks amazing! I want this dress." While the elders were settled in the drawing room discussing ceremonies and other events, the young ladies of Dawnson family were occupied with buying themselves dresses for the wedding.

Clad in short summer dresses, they were gathered in one of the corners in the same drawing room as they scrolled through websites, looking for the perfect wedding dress for themselves.

"Look, I found mine. This is great, isn't it?" A beautiful Christina chirped as she showed her phone to her cousins.

One of them widened her eyes and snatched her phone from her. "This is indeed a lovely wardrobe." She commented on scrutinizing it.

"Hmm, Tina, let me have this one. You can go find yourself another one." On her cousin's announcement, Christina frowned and immediately plucked the phone out of her hand and moved away with eyes that spit flames of warning.

Her cousin winked and raised her hand in surrender while she laughed.

"You are so predictable, Tina!" She teased as she also showed Christina her tongue.

"You are a dirty slut, Maisy! I hate you." She growled and joined another cousin of hers not before hitting Maisy on the shoulder.

A few minutes and they were back to flaring their chosen dresses to each other and bragging about theirs being the best.

All this commotion by the young ladies and planning by the elders was happening for it was the marriage of their loveliest daughter, Claire.

She was Christina's elder sister, hence being her younger sibling, she was trying to select stuff that suited her the best after her sister. She was after all the bride's sibling and her bridesmaid.

The house was embellished like a bride itself with blooming flowers and lights. An event planning agency was organized that made sure that the Dawson Villa was decorated in the loveliest way possible.

From doors to windows, each pillar to the handrail... every part of the house was sparkling like a star, inclining the beauty of the house.

And here the bride was more than happy. Her cheeks never gave up on the blush they adorned. Her big eyes hardly lost its shine and her lips forever garnished that beautiful grin as if she won the biggest and invaluable jewel of the world.

Why not? After all,

she was going to marry the man of her dreams, the riser of her emotions— her boyfriend, Jackson Bowling.

In the beginning the elders were not ready for their marriage until Luke, Christina's ever so hot boyfriend, using his astounding persuading skills, made them realise that Claire's happiness lied in staying with her love and not by staying away from him.

Even though in pressure she may agree to marry another man for her parents' sake, in the end, she would only regret it and live an empty unsuccessful life, leading to an unfruitful end but separation. Because her merriment lied with Jackson.

He was a barbarian which was why her parents hated him. But looking at his love towards their daughter, they had no other choice than to allow their daughter to marry the man she loved.

And guess what, the best part of this marriage was that Christina's father also accepted Luke, who was yet another bad boy, and their relationship.

One can say Mr. Dawson, the man in her later fifties with wrinkles all over his face and salt and peppery hair was impressed by Luke.

Earlier he remained reluctant and counted all his flaws since Luke came from a broken family whereas here the Dawsons lived together in a joint family, and carried the family legacy together.

The extreme variation in their backgrounds made him refuse their relationship of two years, but then, he ultimately accepted Luke.

His intelligence, and also his love and care towards Christina forced him to accept Luke for his daughter.

Six feet tall, jade black hair and inky dark charming eyes, Luke Wellington ran a billion dollar business. Though he lived alone with no idea of his parents' whereabouts, he was a well-known, youngest and most popular bachelor in Texas.

It was a magical moment when a 25 years old bad boy billionaire like him fell in love with a 20 years old intern who was positioned in his company while she was pursuing a degree in management.

Anyways, having selected their dresses, the young ladies moved into Christina's room as hers was the only cabinet available for accommodation without any hint of filth around, while all of theirs was a mess with dresses and accessories lying here and there.

Laden with her cousins and their laughter and giggles, the room was filled with amusement. They were busy teasing pretty Claire for her romeo-juliet kinda love story.

She would have been the centre of attention all day long had Christina not said what she was going to say ahead.
