Prologue

Black widow walked with Asylum through the thick pine trees of their home forest, their home was placed in the middle of nowhere, a nicely built cabin for them, and soon- she knew that they would have dragonets at some point, so soon them, and little dem- dragonets will also be scurrying around and about. Black widow brushed lightly up against Asylum as she listened to the creek flowing into a lake further down. Asylum glanced down at Black widow who had a small smile on her face. "I suppose we go swimming then since you seem so eager?" Asylum asked with amusement plucking at his tone of voice.

"Of course we will, even if we are not seawings- they're tasty." Black widow said, licking her lips slightly as she thought about having some roasted seawing. Asylum rolled his eyes slightly, "Seawing meat is okay- im not a huge fan." Asylum said, earning a snort from Black widow. Black widow raced ahead, making her pace a bit faster, bushes scratching at her scales slightly. Black widow felt the dirt and sand mixture as she came to the lake. Asylum came up behind her and moved black widow towards the water. Black widow felt the cool water before she waded in, Asylum following after Black widow into the water, it was a bit too cold for him, so he backed out after a few moments of wading around.

Black widow looked up after diving in and out of the water, admittedly- ungracefully, but she waded around, flapping her wings slightly as she swam around, Asylum watched her from the shore, sun sprinkling in through the thick coating of pine needles and pine cones. A small 'Thunk!' was heard with each pine cone dropping to the ground near him. It was a breezy day today. Black widow waded around before she stepped onto the ground, shaking all of the lake water from her scales. Asylum shied away as the water flew off of her scales, it seemed like- seeking for him almost. Black widow grinned, walking over to his blurry figure and sat beside him.

Asylum leaned over and smiled, "Hi, how was the swim muffin?" Asylum asked softly, wrapping his wing around a wet black widow. Black widow smiled up at him- "it was goodd." She replied, drawing out 'good' slightly. Asylum smiled, "Why were you not in the water as long as me?" Black widow asked curiously. "Well, I am not a big fan of water." He replied, laying his head lightly on black widow's head, her sail flopping over weirdly with the weight of his head as he leaned it on her.

Black widow smiled slyly, "Dear- how do you feel about dragonets?" She asked
