" my name is fukumizu shigekatsu, i came here with my girlfriend. when she suddenly bought up marriage while we were on a rubber boat, i told her it was too soon. so she pushed me into the ocean, and my clothes were soaked. by the time i returned to the boat, she was gone. only my wallet remained. so i took off my soaking clothes and i bought a T-shirt and swim trunks. " fuzumizu said

" where is your girlfriend now? " the inspector asked

" she was pretty angry, so she probably took the car home without me. it's her car " fuzumizu said

" where's the rubber bout? " shuichi asked

" who knows, bringing it home with me would be a pain, so i abandoned it. maybe it drifted away " fuzumizu said

" kitamori yasue is my name, i came here to pick up guys, but couldn't find any good ones. on top of that, the straps on my sandals broke, so i bought some new ones and was on my way home. well i did get to swim quite a bit. " kitamori said

" where are the sandals with the broken straps? " shuichi asked

" i threw them away somewhere! " she shouted at shuichi as she saw him and blushed then said again " oh you're handsome. " she told shuichi

* after the inspector asked the tree questions *

* ring ring * "

" come on, yukiko. i told you not to call since i'd be writing until dinner. go enjoy yourselves at the beach. " yusaku said

" what. a car fell at the beach, and the driver's dead? " yusaku said again

" apparently he was a thief. his accomplice escaped from the sunken car, and they've blended in with the crowd on the beach. if i send you photos of the three suspects, can you tell me who did it? i'm so curious. " yukiko said

" she may be curious, but i can't figure it out based on photos alone. " yusaku thought

" huh " he said as he saw their photos

" i see " he said again figuring out the culprit

" that's what i said! don't let anyone wet or wearing a swimsuit leave! " masumi said to the beach guard

" huh! more people are leaving " she said as she pointed to two couples

" masumi, that's enough. " mary said

" mom " masumi said as she ran to her mother

" you know we can't get involved in a case " mary said to shuichi

" it's not a problem " shuichi

" case closed. " shuichi and himari said together

" all we have to do now is name the culprit. " himari said

" huh! " masumi,shinchi, mary and shukichi said in shock

" case.. closed? " masumi and shinchi thought

" what? no way. you know who did it? but i only sent you photos of the three suspects. " yukiko said

" isn't that why you called me? " yusaku said

" i thought i'd tell you more about the case after i sent the photos. " yukiko said

" why don't you go ahead and tell me, then? " yusaku said

" okay " yukiko said as she starts to explain

" i see, i knew it " yusaku said

" huh know what? " yukiko said

" the culprit is most likely the woman who bought the sandals... " yusaku said

" the woman who bought the sandals... " shuichi said
