"Here?"

"A little to the left!"

Gaeul huffed as she leaned against the armrest to push the couch back.

"Okay, stop!"

Yujin and Gaeul had proven to be unseperable, moving out of the dingy dorm room together and getting a new place at 22.

Bags and boxes lined the room, stacked high with most of Yujin's art supplies. They'd finished setting up a few curtains, their TV, and the couch. Now all that was left to do was stock the fridge and decorate the walls.

"What do you want to eat later?" Gaeul asked, heaving a duffel bag to the largest room. A half-finished automatic bed frame and a single-person bed greeted them. "Awh, you haven't finished it?"

"I'll get to it later," Yujin yawned, raising one arm and bending to the side to stretch. "I wanna eat green tea ice cream."

Gaeul pointed out that green tea ice cream wasn't a meal, to which Yujin retaliated they'd gotten the house courtesy of her wonderful art.

So here they sat, at the ice cream parlour just down the street, Yujin happily digging into a big serving of her own treat, while Gaeul enjoyed a waffle cone with vanilla and chocolate gelato in it.

"That one looks weird," Gaeul commented, pointing at one of the tubs of ice cream behind the glass.

It was a light cream colour with darker swirls and chunks of nuts in it. Macadamia white chocolate, the label read.

"That looks like a real sucky flavour," Yujin said nonchalantly, crunching at her cone.

Gaeul raised an eyebrow.

.

"Gaeul! Gaeul! Aaooww!" Yujin whined sharply.

Thumping footsteps became louder as Gaeul raced across the apartment to come to Yujin's aid. "WHAT! What!"

Yujin sat on the floor in front of their finished beds and looked up and Gaeul, hair half-tied back and draped in a stained apron. "I'm tired. Can you carry me to the kitchen?"

"Oh, you brat. It sounded like you were really hurt," Gaeul joked as she grabbed Yujin by her foot and attempted to drag her across the floor. Ultimately, Yujin got up herself.

As she fixed herself a glass of juice, Gaeul continued putting their coffee table together. She wondered if she'd get a splinter by the end of the day.

"Your Volteon plushie is in the box with the big red X," Yujin said proudly. "I marked that one specifically for you so it wouldn't get lost."

"Thanks."

Moving to a new place is exciting; getting to decorate your own living quarters and designing everything just to your taste. But moving to a new place with your best friend of eight years?

Chaos. Wonderful, exhilarating, undiluted chaos.

Gaeul stuck a piece of paper to the inside of their door with some sticky tack and handed Yujin a pen. They stood in front of it for a few minutes, giggling and hounding each other.

They revised it in a short while, satisfied with all the content.
