"You might as well let them kill me right now cause there's no way in the hell that that's happening. I was doing well before. And I think I'm doing a pretty good job taking care of myself now. I don't need anyone to do that for me. Besides I don't even know your names let alone live with YOU." she snaps pointing at Jace angrily right the next moment we told her about the plan. Damn this chick's gonna be difficult.

"The feeling is mutual. As if I'm dying to have a bipolar bitch in my apartment" Jace retorts back. Which kind of surprises me, he was never the guy to get into petty fights. She must be really getting on his nerves for him to react like that. I'd never seen him loosing his temper this quick he was a non-violence guy kind of like... Gandhi.

"What did you just call me?" she yells turning a few heads to us. I decide to butt in before it becomes a full war zone.

"Stop it both of you!" I turn my attention to her. "And Scarlett its either that or the police custody. Choose wisely" with that I leave with a smug face.

An hour later.

We are all sitting in my car silently and as usual none of says anything. After my warning, all of them seem to have their shit gathered. I could tell none of them likes it, but it was never an option. As for Scarlett, Jace threatened to call cops on her. She had ran away from LA right after witnessing a murder, which is condemned against the law. Hence, she currently in the backseat right next to me with a poker face on.

Sympathy was what I held for Jace ever since he agreed on the arrangements. Honestly, I could've taken her to my penthouse if it hadn't been for Kris and mom visiting me this weekend. My mom wouldn't appreciate her presence in my house, she's very skeptical like that.

Belonging to a snobby rich family, my parents didn't approve of me joining the army for they wanted me to take over the family business and behave as per their wishes. As a result my rebellious personality didn't submit to their controlling nature. Even after a year or so when I wasn't backing down they had to accept it. Being a part of the army had been my childhood dream, I couldn't let them snatch it away from me.

Jace had always been there for me since high school where we became friends. Him and Kris both being the support system when I desperately needed one. And as for Ash, ever since I met him at the military base, he was just plain old fat turtle. As if on cue Ash wiggled his eyebrows at me from the rear view mirror. I really appreciate them being a part of my life even though I'll never admit it out front.

"As much as I love calling you guys teletubbies. Seriously you gotta give me some names" Scarlett breaks the silence with a questioning look. With a tired sigh, Jace answers her much awaited question.

"So despite sneaking into other people's businesses what do you guys actually do?" she tries making a conversation.

"We're in US Army. And if it weren't for irresponsible freaks like you we wouldn't have to sneak into anyone's businesses" and it did fail miserably as Jace glares at her through rear view mirror.
