Filler Chapter 2

This filler chapter is, once again, based on personal events thank I wanted to, kind of rant about. Well, I guess rant isn't the best word for it... I saw an opportunity and decided to capitalize on my own pain. Yup! That sounds accurate.

Possible triggering themes on this filler: light body horror, mention, and depiction of illness/sickness, Twilight slander, gross body fluids.

I'm aiming to keep this relatively light, but these allergies are treating me absolutely horribly. Usually, I'm not sick for very long...
If you feel sick, please be sure to rest, drink water, and go see a doctor!

Today was NOT going to be a good day. You've been awake since 6 am feeling like a cat raked its sharp claws down your throat. The ceiling would start to dance when you stared at it, and you didn't even want to imagine what walking would be like if your vision was warping so bad. The only thing you could smell was iron. The smell seemed as if it was placed right under your nose. It was thick and inescapable, you could almost taste it in your mouth. Despite this, you couldn't breathe. You could, quite literally, taste the mucus as it lingered in your throat, refusing to go away despite all the water and warm tea you drank to fight it. One of your nostrils, the left to be specific, was blocked up.

All you could do was sit and watch videos on your phone, but even that became boring. You flipped from watching people talk about old, nostalgic things that you somewhat remembered, to cool videos of people with talents you wished you had. When you got bored of that, you found a book rant about the Twilight series. Wow, Twilight really did suck.

You ended up having to face standing up and walking a bit, even though you were afraid you were going to fall. You almost did a few times. The way everything spun and the way the light hurt your eyes left you feeling dizzy and disoriented. Regardless, you still had to make it to the bathroom, or the kitchen to brew some tea with honey. And, you know it's only been a day, but nothing you did seemed to be helping. Sleeping in this pain was impossible. You felt too weak to take a shower. Nothing you ate seemed satisfying. All the tea and liquids you've been drinking seem to leave while taking none of the sicknesses with it.

So there you were, bundled up in your hoodie, hood up of course, and your blanket, clutching your 5th cup of tea for the day, trying, simultaneously, to breathe and not pass out. It was actually more exhausting than training against a joint team of Megumi and Yuji. Gosh, to be outside with them right now instead of flinching at every source of light. You let out a sniffle as you laughed at something playing on the screen, something about food. Well, vampire "food." This was a Twilight rant video after all.

A sniffle escaped your nose and a knock was suddenly heard at your door. "Y/N, are you ready to go?" Shit, you promised Nobara to go run some errands with her today... You really didn't feel strong enough to go.

"I-uhhh," your throat protested the noise you pushed out, causing you to erupt in a violent cough. "I-I'm sorry Nobara. I think I'm sick."

Your classmate opened your door and entered. Her eyes filled with concern when her eyes landed on your bundled body. "Oh geez, you look rough..."

"Gee, thanks," you grumbled, shifting around in your bed before shutting your eyes, wanting the dizziness to go away. "So uhh, I'm guessing I'm not fit to go, huh?"

"Definitely not!" Nobara sighed and placed a cold hand on your forehead, feeling the fever you had gained overnight. "I'll pick you up some medicine, yeah? And I'll tell the boys to leave you alone for the day." The girl walked towards your sink, finding a clean towel to soak in warm water for your forehead. "Have you eaten yet?"
