Defense Against the Dark Arts was always one of my favorites, along with Charms and Flying. This year we had a new Professor, Professor Lupin. Today i walked in to see a shaking wardrobe that Professor Lupin explained it was a Boggart, a shapeshifter that takes shape of whatever the individual person fears the very most.
he also explained we would be learn a simple spell to repel the boggart, the incantation "Riddikulus" he had us practice and i heard Malfoy saying, "This class is ridiculous" then Lupin had Neville help him with an example. Proffesor snape walked out of the wardrobe and Neville used the incantation and suddenly proffesor snape was in a green dress with a stuffed cat around his, a tacky black hat with a fake bird and a bright red handbag.
then we all went up taking turns, Ron turned to a spider, then to a spider with roller skates, Pavarotti's turned into a giant snake, then to a jack in the box, then Harry's turned into a dementor, Professor Lupin jumped in front of him and the dementor changed into a full moon, odd,then the moon turned to a deflating ballon and put back in the wardrobe. Then we were dismissed.
