CHAPTER ELEVEN: DEPARTURE pt.2

"So when are you going to leave Lilia-san?"

Vanrouge Lilia heard the human's voice, it was laced with curiosity, although he doesn't know if [Name] is sad about him going back to his kingdom.

Sometimes he couldn't read [Name].

The dark sky was surrounded by billions of stars, twinkling as the beautiful sight illuminates his crimson eyes and the sounds made by the crickets filled his ears as he and [Name] were sitting near the window, with the scenery of the dark yet oddly calming feeling of forest and the fireflies flying around.

It was peaceful.

Lilia never thought he could experience this kind of feeling for a long time.

"Tomorrow."

He responds, finally removing his eyes from the window and looking beside the young man who's already looking at him with his feet tucked in close to his chest, his head resting on his knees. "Hmm..." He heard [Name] hum before letting out a yawn in the process.

"How come you're so calm about me leaving?"

"Eh?"

[Name] said aloud, confusion plastered on his face before the realization hits him, and let out a laugh. Laughing, even more, when he saw confusion yet worry on Lilia's face. Although with Lilia's monotone voice, he could easily tell what Lilia feeling.

"Of course, Lilia-san but a little." [Name] says, his laughter fading adjusting himself on the sofa he and Lilia were sitting on. "But at the same time, I'm glad that you're going back to your kingdom, everyone must've missed you since you're away for so long." He finished, he couldn't deny that he's a bit upset that Lilia is leaving though he was thankful that he also met him.

"You're worried about me, am I right?" [Name] said out of nowhere and grinned, eyes shining while looking at Lilia with a teasing look.

"W-WHAT?! RIDICULOUS!" Lilia never panicked so fast in his life as he stood up from the sofa, pointing at [Name] who still had that grin on his face while the two animals on the table silently watched their interaction.

"I-i'm just worried about the one who saved me after all! Yes! That's right!" He exclaimed, smiling smugly at what he said. [Name] laughed while the two animals looked away having the same reactions which Lilia got irked at.

"Stop that you two or I'll toast you with my fire!"

He snarled at the two as [Name] smiled, feeling giddy the way Lilia tried to cover his worry about him. "Ease up will you Lilia-san~!" [Name] whined, catching the sorcerer's attention. "I'm just worried that what if you got into trouble when I'm not here with you?" Lilia asked worry etched on his voice, he know that [Name] isn't attentive to his surroundings and might be ended up in danger.

If that happens...

"I can protect myself you know! I know a lot of things to defend myself! I can even protect you!" [Name] humped, crossing his arms, and a pout displayed on his lips that in Lilia's eyes he looked like a kid throwing a tantrum. "But...How will you protect me if you don't have magic lies in your blood?" Lilia muttered.

Oh no...he shouldn't have said that. He bit his inner lip as he mentally cursed himself for saying those words. Before he could apologize he was interrupted by [Name] who bonked his head softly.

"Hey! Just because I didn't have any, doesn't mean I can't protect you! I'll find every way just to protect you!"

He heard [Name] exclaimed, he saw the determination on that [color] irises staring right at him. "W-well I trust you. I know you would." A faint blush appeared on his face, feeling a bit embarrassed yet happy about the young man's words.

"You're going to come and see me again, right?" [Name] asked, he could feel his heart thumping in anticipation as he wait for Lilia's answer. "Of course, who do you take me for?" Lilia mused watching how the human looked so happy.

"I think we should head back to bed, [Name]." Lilia said upon watching [Name] yawn. "Goodnight Lilia-san..." [Name] nodded, rubbing his eyes with his shirt, before standing up and heading to his room. "Goodnight to you as well [Name]." Lilia said watching [Name] left the living room, leaving only him and the two animals.

"Kid."

Lilia called out, his eyes glowing in a beautiful crimson, and waved his hand in the air, and in instant, a wave of green dust surrounded the rabbit and slowly dissolved along with the rabbit and in replacing a young kid with bunny ears twitching softly appeared standing behind Lilia.

"What is it Lilia-sama?"

The bunny kid asked with his other companion on his shoulder, seeing Lilia turn his body at him and looked at him with a stone-faced expression.

"Stay with [Name] and protect him if anything happens while I'm not here. This is an order."

"Yes, Lilia-sama."
