It was a late morning and the German Empire was roaming the halls of the Schönbrunn palace, a palace in which all Habsburg rulers live in. His eyes rested on the paintings which were gently aligned perfectly as his glance shifted towards each maid and butler he had passed.

"Guten Tag, Deutsche Kaiserreich." They all softly say towards him as the German gives them all a small nod in return. None of them deserved a greeting back, at least that's what the German Empire believed.

His main task was to find the Austro-Hungarian Empire, a man who stole his heart. Though he wouldn't ever confess that to anyone. He wanted to see his face and let him feel his shoulders as they have a tender moment alone without the Austrian Empire's capital barging in.

The German Empire's footsteps filled the silent hallways, only the mere birds tweeting outside were audible as a soft sigh came out of him. He remembered the palace like the back of his hand as he took a left into a room in which he knew his secret crush would be located in.

The room was rather big but not as big as his. He looked up at the ceiling in which was decorated through biblical carvings, cupids smiling at each other as angels watched over them. The German Empire looked away and spotted a person who was peacefully sitting outside on a balcony chair. From where he was standing he could feel the lovely summer breeze as he walked over to the empire.

"Vienna? Is that you?" The person spoke out, a soft voice in which the German Empire admired every time he hears it.

He walked behind the empire, wrapping his arms around the man's waist as the Austrian responded with a soft gasp, "You are not Vienna..."

The Austrian-Hungarian Empire traced his fingers over the German's hands, as though the German Empire could not see, the feeling of the German's hands brought a smile to the Austro's face.

"German Empire..." The Austrian whispered, moving his hand up to the German's face in which they were practically embracing each other.

"Hello, Austrian-Hungarian,"

The name rolled off of the German's tongue as he smiled after saying the beautiful name he rambles for hours about to his father's states. He knew that if his father had known about the rather unique relationship between his son and his closest ally's son... A simple misunderstanding could have a war break out.

Thus, their relationship must be quiet.

"Mm... Did your father let you come over?" A soft chuckle was shortly made after the question was asked.

The German Empire laughed loudly, feeling the man's stomach as he shook his head, "Of course not. It was hard enough to convince Berlin to let me use a carriage..."

"Oh Berlin... Vienna misses him very much. Though he won't confess it..." Austria-Hungarian sighed rather heavily, making the German release him as he slowly stood up from the chair.

"Vienna misses Berlin? That's rather strange..." The German Empire grunted, not fully believing in the little secret the Austrian had slipped. He watched as the empire stood and proceeded to carefully walk back into his bedroom, following shortly after.

"I would tell you more but Vienna would no longer trust me." A.H.E frowned, feeling the walls of his room as he walked straight towards his bed, gently sitting down, "And I am afraid that that is slowly turning out to being true..."

The German Empire disagreed, "Vienna is a strange capital. You can never predict what he'll say or do... The only thing he is good at is orders and respect..." The German mumbled, being displeased at how unpredictable the Austrian capital can be as he stood in front of A.H.E.

The shorter empire sighed softly, slouching his back as the German knew that A.H.E never used proper manners when it came to his posture. G.E was about to sit next to A.H.E but was then pulled by his hips towards the Austrian. His white line turned the same color as his red, "A-Austro!"

A.H.E had grabbed the German Empire's hips rather tightly. The blind empire pretended to look up as his pale blue eyes pierced the German's icy blue eyes.

The German Empire was utterly flustered as his hands were on Austrian-Hungarian's shoulders, feeling how close the smaller man's face is to his stomach.

"You aren't being very etiquette!" The German Empire whispered-yelled, standing there as he was frozen in place. He looked down as he saw a smile creep on the man's face.

"Who was just wrapping his arms around my waist?"

The German Empire laughed at that comment, sighing softly as he proceeds to stand there without complaint. The birds tweeting, the faint noises outside from people talking and carriages being pulled by horses were all filling the room's emptiness. The soft breaths from the two empires as they were intertwined joined in the noises as well.

Nothing was going to ruin the moment. Not Vienna, not Prussia, not the Austrian Empire. At least that's what the German Empire had thought and hoped for.

But as he was holding onto that wish, rushing footsteps were coming from the hallway and suddenly in the room with the two...

was the Austrian Empire.
