The first night on the job. I took a deep breath as I pushed open the doors to the pizza plex and made my way inside.
It was weird seeing the Pizza Plex like this, it was cold, the air conditioning was on and it lacked the warmth of the bodies that usually occupied it.
I put on a smile and made my way through the winding hallways to my office that would be my home base for the night.
Once I arrived in my office I set my bag down on the ground beside my chair. "Alright!" I sat down in the chair and spun in a single circle before looking over the screens. "Let's get this show on the road," I clicked through the cameras for a while before something caught my eye.
There, in the daycare, were two animatronics, the sun and the moon, they were restacking all the plush drums. I smiled as I remembered my brief interactions with them.
I hummed, I couldn't remember if Scott told me if I could walk around, though I do believe he said that the animatronics were aware that a nightguard would be working, or it was somewhere in the contract that I had skimmed over.
I shrugged, it couldn't hurt to go on a walk, right? I nodded to encourage myself. It would be ok. I stood up and grabbed the flashlight off the desk. I clicked it on to make sure it worked, once I was sure it did I smiled.
I left the office and made my way to the daycare. I hummed softly to myself, carefully weaving my way through the random amounts of mapbots.
Once I arrived, I carefully pushed open the door and made my way inside. I took a moment to contemplate whether I would go down the slide this time or enter through the front door. I hummed and then decided I would have a little fun and go down the slide.
I sat down on the slide and swung with one hand, keeping the flashlight tucked securely in the other. I flew down the slide, laughing lightly as I went. I soon crashed into the ball pit at the bottom.
I made my way to the surface and laughed softly, Iclimbed to the edge and looked around, where were the animatronics?
"New friend?" A voice echoed, I looked for the source but when I couldn't find it I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. I blinked and in an instant there he was, the sun animatronic right in front of my face.
I startled and almost fell over backwards into the ball pit, "Hi Sun," I smiled, "It's good to see you again." I said as I pulled myself out of the ballpit. Sundrop backing up to give me room. I brushed myself off and clicked off the flashlight. There was no need for it since the room was already dimly lit, just enough so it was easy to see.
Sundrop took a moment to register who I was before his head started to spin and he picked me up, "Oh hello new friend! What are you doing here?"
I laughed and taped his arms to be put down. "I work as the night guard here now," I said as he placed me securely on the ground.
"Rggghh, clean up clean up!" I heard someone growl in the background. I peaked my head around Sun to see who it was, to my surprise I saw Moon, haphazardly cleaning up and tripping over himself.
I laughed softly, "Is he ok?" I asked Sun, who then peered over his shoulder at Moon.
"He's ok, he does this sometimes," Sun shrugged lightly.
I nodded, "Should we help him?" I asked, wondering if he needed any assistance there.
Sun nodded slowly, "You can if you want," he said.
I smiled, "I think I will," I patted Sun on the arm and hurried off to go help Moon with cleaning up.
Moon face planted into a pile of pillows once more and groaned, pushing himself up again. I laughed softly and started to restack the plush drums he had knocked over. He paused as he was getting up, he looked at me. I hummed softly as I carefully restacked the plush drums. He moved and stood over me.
I looked up at him, "Hello there," I offered a smile. He simply picked me up and placed me to the side before going to get something. I laughed softly at his behavior and waited in place, looking around.
After a moment he came back and offered me a stuffed bear. He held it out silently. When I didn't take it he pushed it at me, "Take it," He said, his voice was stern and demanding. I was startled by his tone and took the bear into my arms. He seemed to relax once I took it, he patted me on the head and moved to go do something else. Though he didn't get very far before falling over once more.
I laughed softly and that's when I noticed a ribbon tied around him. I snorted and earned a look from both Sun and Moon. "Moon, it looks like you're a little caught up there," I smiled and pointed at the ribbon tied around him.
Moon looked down to try and figure out what i was talking about, when he couldn't find anything he grumbled but soon tripped over his own feet again and fell. He didn't really have much of a facial expression but something about him seemed like he was pouting.
I moved over to him with a smile, "Let me help you," I said, bending down to try and untangle him.
"I'm fine." He grumbled, climbing to his feet once more and trying to walk away, but before he even made it 3 steps he fell over again.
"You sure?" I raised an eyebrow at him.
Moon grumbled, "Just this once," he gave me a suspicious look.
I simply smiled at him warmly. He sat down and waited for me to do something. I hummed and climbed into his lap, starting to untie the ribbon. He stiffened when I got close.
Once I got the ribbon off I got up and folded the ribbon, putting it in my pocket. "There you go," I grinned, happy with myself.
