It's so nice to wake up to a freshly prepared breakfast and step outside with an amazing book.

It was a soft winter day and I loved the chilly feeling of smooth air on my pale skin.

I rushed in for my wool poncho and sat down with my favorite book-Oliver Twist. I can't read- I just love the pictures.

Nature is so peaceful and beautiful. My mindset was of just that until that one day. All disaster in one word.

Humans.

They take and take and take. Being a tiny I've been pretty isolated from humans. I had no want to interact with murderous brings only caring about us to feel superior.

I was enjoying my breakfast and I saw some wierd activity.

I stepped out and saw a human who looked to be in his mod 40s. He was wearing a suit and speaking on his phone. He looked to be an average business man.

I realized that my book I had been reading flew away with a slight gust of wind . I was nervous this human would see it but even worse that I would lose it.

I'm not sure why and I'm not sure how but the man speaking on his phone glanced over at me.

He had a hungry look in his eyes. Before you knew it I found myself staring fearfully at the human. He looked at me in awe. "How much?" His deep voice asked . I stood there confused and didn't reply. I managed to squeak out "W-What?"

"How much" he repeated "For you to come with me?"

I've heard of humans keeping birds of cats as pets; basically any living being smaller than them. I had a bad feeling about this man.

I was surrounded by a soft cloth bag and all went black. I fear to think about what will come of me.
