Black-clad butler

The pale butler,
Donned in black,
Fancied felines,
His sharp crimson eyes gleam like—
withered roses

Night to day,
Salt to sugar,
Silver into gold.

Mother

Mother, the gardener of life,
Gave me a pot to grow,
Helped me bloom,
Kept me from doom,
Pretty as a chrysanthemum,
Tough as a rose.
