Peniel's POV

I'm still worried about Yejin. How would her parents react? Her parents were always nice to me. Would they change once they knew that I'm dating their daughter?

As for my family, I don't think they would react negatively. They have always known, especially my sister, about how I really feel about Yejin. In fact, they would ask me from time to time when I will confess to her. I think they would be happy for us.

«Mom, Dad... I have something to tell you.» I said smiling over dinner.

«What is it?» My sister asked.

«Did I mention you?» I asked back.

She frowned. «By the way, mom, dad... I, uh...» I suddenly get shy. «I finally confessed to Yejin and... we're... dating now.»

«What!» My sister yelled.

I felt nervous when my parents didn't even smile. They just looked at each other like they were up to something.

«Is there a problem?» I asked nervously.

My mom looked down on her plate, while my Dad sighed. «We're happy for you, son-»

«Well, it doesn't look like that.» I said.

I looked at my sister who kept quiet too with a serious look on her face. «What's going on?» I asked her.

«Remember when we planned to live in America when you were younger? Your uncle finally had a time to help us move there... we're planning to leave after you graduate.» Dad said.

My jaw dropped. My bright mood was gone. «And when... when are you guys planning to tell me?» I asked, disappointed look on my face.

«We were supposed to talk about it tonight. Everything's fixed. You're going to college there.»

I snorted. «Really? You're not even going to ask me if I want to live there or not? If I want to study there or not? You're really just going to decide everything between you?»

«We only want a better future for y-»

And for the first time in my life, I put down the spoon and turned my back from my parents while they were still talking. I've never disrespect my parents- but I just feel like I've fallen from cloud nine so fast back to the hard ground.

«Peniel! Your mother is talking!» My Dad yelled. But I need some time alone... to think.

I threw my cap away and jumped in bed. Why does this have to happen now? Why now that I finally felt complete happiness? What about me and Yejin? What about us? What would happen to us?

A small tear came out from my eye. Damn, I don't like crying. Sht.

I took my phone when it vibrated. Yejin sent me a text message.

Woaaah!!!! I MADE IT!!! HAHAHAHA
THEY KNOW NOW AND THEY SUPPORT US. Mom and Dad want to talk to you. Dad said "not as your best friend". LOL. How did it go for you? Is everything fine? Text me asap.
