Ten months after the encounter with the sludge villain was the UA entrance exams, and everyone was on edge leading up to it. During the exam, Haruhi felt like she had a pretty intense disadvantage. Her quirk is invisibility. She isn't permanently invisible, she can control when she becomes invisible. However, right now she can only stay invisible for a couple minutes but she hopes to lengthen the amount of time she can stay out of sight without compromising her physical strength and endurance. She still has a lot of work and training ahead of her, but she's excited for it. Since the exam challenged the students to take down mechanical enemies, she couldn't rely on her quirk like other students, and instead relied on her physical strength and stealth. She wasn't sure how well she did compared to the other students, but she was determined to make it into UA's hero course. If someone like Eraserhead can make it as a pro, she could too. He was her idol, her favorite hero. She looked up to him.

A couple weeks later, the news of who made it into the school finally broke. Haruhi was so anxious she could barely read her letter. She sat on her living room couch holding the envelope in her hands, waiting for her mother to get home from work so they could open it together. She felt like she was sitting there for hours when her mother finally made it home. "Hey Haruhi," her mother greeted her in a quiet, tired voice as she walked into the house. "Sorry it's so late, we had-," her mother froze as she saw what her daughter was holding. They made nervous eye contact before she sat on the couch next to Haruhi and stared at the envelope in her hands. The air in the room felt heavy. Haruhi took a deep breath and slowly opened the envelope. She quickly began reading as fast as she could- and her eyes widened as her mother fell to her knees with her head in her hands sobbing. "I..." Haruhi began with a weak and shaking voice. "I got in?" Reality was finally setting it as her face got hot and she jumped up from the couch and screamed "I GOT IN!"

Finally the first day of class approached and Haruhi walked onto campus filled with excitement and nerves. "Ok this should be my classroom," she said to herself as she stared at the door to the room, hearing voices already inside. She took a deep breath and hoped she would recognize some faces as she walked into the room. She quickly scanned the room and in the back left corner she saw Katsuki with his feet on the desk, arguing with another student. Her eyes quickly darted away from him as she took an empty desk on the right hand side of the room. "Hi!" A pink girl with small horns jumped over to Haruhi and quickly introduced herself with cheer. "I'm Mina Ashido," the girl said with a grin. Haruhi forced a smile and introduced herself. A couple other girls joined them and they made some introductory small talk as students slowly filled the room. Haruhi's eyes kept drifting to the back of the room to look at Katsuki. They hadn't spoke since the incident ten months ago. Suddenly her eyes were drawn to the door to watch a familiar face enter the room. Midoriya? She thought. I know he wants to be a hero, but how could he make it into the hero course? He doesn't have a quirk!

Finally all the students made it to class and made small talk with each other when one more person entered the room. It was their teacher. "It took eight seconds before you all shut up, that's not gonna work. Time is precious. Rational students will understand that," he said in a monotone voice that Haruhi recognized all too well. Her eyes widened and her heart began to race. "Hello, I'm Shota Aizawa. I'm your teacher," the man said, still sounding irritated. How could I be so lucky? Eraserhead is my teacher? She thought, completely blown away. "Put these on and head outside," he said as he handed out blue uniforms to each student.

Everyone followed him outside for a quirk assessment. He claimed that the student who came in last place would be immediately expelled from the course, which scared everyone especially Haruhi. She wouldn't be able to use her quirk to help her during these eight physical assessment tests. Most students looked anxious or scared, but Bakugo looked frighteningly excited. Once it was all over, the students anxiously awaited the results and Haruhi was terrified. Aizawa revealed the scores and Haruhi quickly scanned for her name, expecting to be at the bottom. To her relief, there was one name below hers- Izuku Midoriya. She felt sick. "And I was lying, no one's going home. That was just a rational deception to make sure you gave it your all in the tests," Aizawa said as most of the class dropped their jaws. "Make sure to pick up a syllabus in the classroom and read it over before tomorrow morning," he said as he walked back to the building, leaving them shocked. That was it. That was the first day at UA High, and it was definitely nerve wracking.

After everyone changed back into normal school uniforms and packed up, Haruhi promptly started walking out of the building to head home. Most of the other students were already ahead of her so she began her walk alone. A few moments after walking out of the building, she heard a familiar raspy voice call to her.
