Hiro's POV
I ran into the bathroom as fast as I could after dropping our bags just outside the door, not caring if anyone saw me running into the girls' bathroom. They're all too busy celebrating the fact that it's Friday anyway. At least they have something to celebrate... My angel is gone, and I have no idea where she went!
I hurriedly opened every stall after receiving no answer when I called my girlfriend's name, but every single one of them was empty. I cursed under my breath and was just about to dial Sashi's number once more, when I stepped on something hard on my way out of the bathroom. I looked down and removed my foot from the object, only to widen my eyes at the sight of the phone I would recognise anywhere. The worry inside me multiplied as I shakily picked Sashi's phone up, unlocking it to see all the missed calls and text messages that I had sent during class. But what bothered me most, was the fact that her phone was open on her list of favourites, with my name at the very top.
How could I have been stupid enough to let her go on her own?! I knew that something like this was going to happen, but I still put her in harm's way! I swear that I'm going to find her, and I will make sure that whoever took her from me pays dearly. I don't care if it was my brother. He betrayed me when he decided to come between my angel and me, and I swear, if he dares to harm a hair on her head, he won't live to see tomorrow morning.
I walked out of the bathroom with determination, leaving our bags exactly where I had placed them. We can worry about retrieving them later, but at the moment, I can't afford to be weighed down by them. I need to get home as quickly as possible, and find where my brother is keeping my poor tenshi. My mind is telling me that she's probably being held in the basement, but if I were my brother, I would try moving her as soon as possible. I have to find her before then. If I don't, he might take her to a country on the other side of the world. I should probably find Ayano, and try my best to explain what happened. She deserves to know what happened to her sister.
I was about to turn the corner, when I was suddenly slammed against the wall, my arms pinned above my head with incredible strength. I stared at my assailant with wide eyes, as I had never before seen her with anger in her eyes, or realised just how dangerous she looked up close. Her dark eyes pierced into mine, and if looks could kill, I would have been nothing but a corpse on the floor.
'Where is she?' Ayano asked threateningly as her grip around my wrists tightened, causing me to wince. I never realised just how much strength she had, and the fact that she's only using one hand is very impressive, but I surprise myself with my strength when it involves my angel too. 'Answer me, Takeba! Where is my sister?!'
'I don't know!' I shouted honestly, and as expected, that just ticked Ayano off even more.
'You don't know?!' she asked loudly, only to let out a maniacal laugh in my face. She used her free hand to dig into the pocket of her school blazer, and my heart got caught in my throat as she pulled out a very sharp-looking knife, before holding it against my neck. 'Does it look like I'm playing games, Takeba?! I swear, if you did anything to my sister, I'm going to cut you into pieces!'
'I'm telling the truth! She went to the bathroom after lunchtime and told me to go to class without her, so we wouldn't get into trouble for being late. That's the last time I saw her today, I swear!' I yelled, not realising that a few tears had escaped my eyes until I felt the wetness against my cheeks. 'I am so sorry, Ayano. It's all my fault... I should have insisted on going with her, but I managed to convince myself that she would be fine on her own. I don't expect you to forgive me, as I'm never going to forgive myself for this, but please... Let me go and help me find your sister. We can save her if we work together.'
