It was cold, very cold.
Albedo knew winter was close to arrive after autumn, but since his exam is about to start next week, the signs were all over the weather.
As he walked, he could feel the wind kiss through and bristle on his hair. In spite of the streets being crowded by walking by workers heading home and groups chatting idly loudly, Albedo continued to walk towards the cafe he worked at to meet up with Kaeya.
He couldn't believe he was actually going to relax for once after a full week of studying for the damn exams. If he could of at least showed himself a little bit of sympathy for his health then maybe he wouldn't have been looking for tips online on how to sleep early. Taking deep breaths, Albedo wiped the dust off of his shirt and looks over to the now closed cafe shop. Kaeya was there...he was honest. And as always, cocky with his signature smile.
Albedo waved a towards him, and he waved back at him across the street. Looking from left to right, the male made sure no cars were crossing before he walked across the street to meet with Kaeya who had been waiting. "You're early."
"Made sure I wouldn't let the genius wait here for long, first," Kaeya replied, and Albedo rolled his eyes, a smile begging to be stitched to his face. "So? I was planning to study but then my friend had to lend me a note, saying you wanted to meet up with me here after the shop's closed."
"So you did received it."
"Texting me would've been easier, you know?"
"That would ruin the excitement now, would it?" Albedo shot him a frown. "But hey, you chose to hang out with me other than studying. So does that make me special now~?"
"Oh shut up, we knew each other for months. C'mon, where are we headed?" He dug his hand right through his pockets whilst looking away from the older male who chuckles. "I'll lead the way like always, sillybedo."
"Oh god, not another nickname..." the white-haired man mutters in slight distress.
Kaeya was in joy when walking with Albedo through the great night sky. Stars were countless, heavens dark like a pond at midnight struck, space that had moved them from each other when the leaves passed through them, and the cold breeze rustling from their hairs, the both of them had a small chat along the way to where Kaeya was taking the male. "A...get together party?"
"With my old high school mates, yup. I wanted to take you there so you can meet my bestest buddies," Kaeya says, also pushing his hands down his coat pocket. Albedo hummed, but there was a hint of concern in his face regardless of being flattered to be invited to a get together. "I...you shouldn't had brought me here, y'know? This is supposed to be your get together, why even bother to bring me?"
"It'll only be real quick, I promise. I know you're not fond of group parties but this is the only time I get to bring you to events like this so...? Is that good?"
What an excuse that doesn't even make sense...classic Kaeya...
As they arrived, Kaeya immediately swung the door open, and an earful blast of noise erupted out of the room. Loud, they were all so loud. The scent of alcohol and smoke exited everywhere out as they entered inside. The loud chatter and mugs clinking to one another filled the void, and Albedo swore he felt like throwing up. "Hey would you look who's here! It's fine Kaeya Alberich!" A yell surfaced from the side. Kaeya laughed.
"Kaeya my guy! How've you been!"
"Hey oh my god, is that Kaeya!?"
"Shit, my guy, you grown taller!"
