lost boys [dreamnotfound]

chapter eight

"we just got word that the tests have been cancelled" sapnap said to the group infront of him

"did they say why?" bad asked

sapnap shook his head, "didnt tell us a reason, but enjoy today off, your all allowed into the city today, just be back by curfew please" he smiled

"yo bad!" skeppy laughed, "lets go look around" 

"alright" bad laughed, "anyone want to come with?" 

as all of the new group members went to the city, all the old stayed back. 

"have you seen george?" wilbur asked sapnap

sapnap sighed. he knew exactly what happened between george and dream. he could see it in dreams eyes as he walked into the testing room last night, and havent came out since. 

"i think hes just taking a day off like the rest of us, hes probably in the city" sapnap said. but he didnt know where george was actually. 

"okay thanks!" wilbur smiled and ran off to meet with the others

"ive never seen him so..broken" tommy said as he sat at one of the dinning hall tables with some of the other boys

"we should talk to him" punz said

sapnap shook his head, "techno already tried, he just got silence."

"the tests got cancelled" techno says to the boy in the chair

dream looked at techno, "what do you mean?" 

techno shrugged, "we had a note come in this morning, just saying that they were cancelled."

"that doesnt seem suspicious at all" dream said sarcastically 

"you alright?" techno asked

dream laughed, "im fine techno"

techno nodded. he knew dream was lying, anyone could've known. hes not a really good liar. but techno just went with it when he turned around and saw a boy behind him

"im gonna go get something to eat, talk to you later" techno said as he left the room, nodding at the boy who was besides him 

"how is he" sapnap asked

"he says hes fine, i told him about the cancelled tests, thats what got him talking. dont you think its weird they were cancelled though?" techno said

"techno has a point.." tubbo says taking a sip of his water

"lemme get one" sapnap said to techno as he pulled out a cigarette packet 

"where'd you get those" punz asked

techno laughed, "doesnt matter" he said as he handed sapnap and punz each a cigarette, and passed the lighter around. tommy and tubbo didnt smoke, or drink, because they werent allowed. they were old enough, but the other boys just saw them as babies. it was an ongoing joke between the group. 

"what're you doing" a boys voice said from the doorway 

"george.." dream said quietly, "im sorr-"

george sighed, "no dream its fine, i acted out and i shouldn't of. i'd like to change the topic though." 

dream nodded, "i cant seem to defeat all my fears"

"why" george said as he sat next to the boy

dream shrugged, "you want to see?" 

"we can do that?" george questioned

dream nodded, "it would just be my fears, but you'd be there aswell"
