#1 Pertle

Pertle is better than Cleril.

THERE I SAID IT!

Cleril is unhealthy and one-sided. What Peril feels for Clay isn't love, it's obsession. Not cool. She treats him like a god and before doing anything, thinks "what would Clay want me to do?"

Don't get me wrong, I love Peril, and her arc is such a great one, I just think Clay isn't good for her.

I can hear all of you thinking, but Clay was the first dragon to actually be nice to Peril all her life! Of course she's going to be clingy!

But that doesn't make it ok! And what about Osprey? He was nice to Peril!

And I wouldn't describe what Clay was to Peril at first as nice. I mean, he didn't treat her like a normal dragon.

He was walking on eggshells around her just as much as everyone else was.

And Peril betrayed him and his friends just so he could stay with her. Not cool.

Pertle on the other hand...

Turtle treats her like a normal dragon, and Peril doesn't treat him like a god. She can be herself around him and doesn't constantly think "what would Turtle want me to do?"

Don't you dare bring up the age gap. That is a discussion you couldn't pay me to talk about, and besides, Peril is 8 and Turtle is 5. You want to argue that that is an age gap to freak out about? I'm looking at you, Sunny x Six Claws and Moon x Darkstalker shippers.

Besides all of this, Pertle has a lot more development than Cleril.

Change my mind.
