It's been awhile, hasn't it? Well, sorry for my lack of activity recently, and I wanted to publish another rant.
I. Hate. Squid.
Seriously! If you came up to me and asked what my least favourite WoF character is, I would honestly and passionately say Squid. Why? He is a whiny, pathetic, spoiled, SNIVELING BRAT.
I hear people say things like, "Oh, Scarlet's my least favourite character, she's so mean and scary." Or, "Darkstalker is the worst! I hate him because he was a greedy, manipulative monster that deserved what happened to him!" (I might do a Darkstalker rant in the future but for now I'm going to glaze over the topic.)
But I disagree! Yes, they were terrible. Yes, they were greedy. And yes, they were villains! But they were amazing characters! They added conflict, suspense, drama (the good kind), and were awesome to read about!
Squid did NOTHING to advance the plot! He didn't bring anything new out of any other characters, he didn't have a lick of development, AND HE'S A SPOILED BRAT!
Okay okay, sorry about that. I'll try to be a bit more professional now.
I looked on the wiki and got some stuff. From the wiki:
Squid is frequently whiny, as he believes he is famous and gets irritable when he is not treated like it.
He thinks he is the center of the universe because his dad is the leader of the Talons of Peace. And he brings it up as much as he can!
He is shown to be cowardly and childish when it comes to real work.
Oh, ho, ho! Very true! Maybe he should live on the NightWing island a little more to get a taste of real misery.
There's no treasure and it's boring and stupid and I'm hungry and I hate your island and I want to go home!
His quote, while true, only annoys me. Or maybe just the fact that he was right annoys me.
It's not fair! It's not my fault that some other SeaWing is better than me.
Again, true. I would wager that any SeaWing is better than you. Yes, even Greasy Tail McGee over here.

And on that note, I would much rather spend a day with Whirlpool than with Squid. You can have your own opinions, but seriously.
He is seen as extremely whiny and considers Ochre, Viper, and Flame as bullies, and Fatespeaker to have "lost her marbles."

When Morrowseer called him "small and hardly a four year old," he claimed that he "has a big personality." In fact, Squid claims that his big personality makes up for his small size.
His "big personality" mostly includes being a pest and a daddy's boy. I hate him so much.
