Bleed stood in the warehouse, watching some of the new men loading cars into a truck.

Things were going smoothly and according to plan.

Outside, Nevada heat was sweltering but he didn't mind. It was a nice change from cold ass New England.

He stayed quiet about it, as he did with most things, but this whole process of starting a chapter was new to him.

Being a nomad was what he was used to. Traveling without question and doing whatever was needed. It was similar to the military, except the women were plentiful and fun.

"Glad for some extra hands around here." Chaos interrupted his thoughts, standing by him with oily covered hands holding some new gadget he was tinkering with.

"As long as nobody fucks up." Bleed folded heavy arms over his chest.

It had taken a bit but the kid had grown on him. There was a good head on his shoulders, wild as fuck but good. Shit you had to be a little crazy to live this kind of life.

They had a few deliveries to make outside of San Francisco and a little spot in Utah. Tin had been right about this place. It was a good discreet spot in the southwest, close to Phoenix and Vegas and not too far from Texas or Cali, where they did a lot of business.

"Right. But we knew it couldn't just stay the four of us," Chaos answered.

Some of their new additions didn't work out. They decided to move on.

Only a few wanted to commit to a Chapter.

There were no hard feelings about it.

"You mean three," Bleed pointed out.

"Yeah," Chaos quickly hushed his voice. So what the fuck is goin' on with Whisper?"

Bleed gave him a knowing look, then shrugged. "Your guess is good as mine."

"Shit. Maybe Mexico is his spot, he just wants to stay down there scaring the shit out of everybody and fuckin' with the cartels."

"He does that, he's gonna end up dead."

"Maybe he don't give a shit."

Maybe, Bleed thought grimly.

"I kinda - I don't know." Chaos whipped his gadget with a rag from his pocket. "It seems like something's missing without him slinkin' around here."

"You're tryin' to say you miss him?"

"Fuck off," Chaos grimaced hard.

Bleed made whatever passed for a grin as Chaos walked off.

"It's just a few days."

Sera watched Vicky fold her arms over, leaning against the beam that held up the overhang.

"A few days and I'll meet you before you even hit the Nevada state line."

"Why do you want to split up?"

"I told you, I just have some things I need to take care of."

"Didn't I ask you about this yesterday?"

The questioning was coming from care. Sera sighed as she stood there with her bag.

"I just want you to be safe," Vicky added softly.

"I will." Sera made sure to meet her friend's eyes. "You know that."

"I'm your girl and you have to be all vague about more shit? Just a few days? You're not doing something crazy are you?"
