I dried my eyes in the bathroom. The funny thing is, I didn't even feel embarrassed after crying in front of Cordelia. She made me feel comfortable, and that was nice. I headed downstairs with a book under my arm, incase i somehow ended up watching the movie alone. I sat and waited on the couch in the lounge. It was a little cold, but it was bearable.
After a couple of minutes, Cordelia came in with a bowl of popcorn and two drinks. One was for her, one was for me.
She sat beside me.
"How are you feeling sweetheart?" she said softly as she tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.
I nodded with a reassuring smile.
"better." i whispered.
"I'm so glad. Let's choose a movie hm? It'll be a little more enjoyable without the girls talking throughout it. Hopefully this time you won't want to leave to go read. I like your company."
I felt the butterflies in my stomach, but tried my best to suppress them.
She handed me the remote and watched as i aimlessly scrolled through all of the movies on the tv. Cordelia picked up my book.
"Carol.." she said under her breath.
My heart was racing.
please don't realise. please. it'll be so embarrassing if she finds out like this that-
"That you're not straight?" she spoke.
I looked at her in awe.
"I.."
"your thoughts are really loud when you panic honey. We can work on that."
i looked away, but she lifted my chin gently.
"Don't be embarrassed sweetheart. i'm not straight either."
what?!
"Oh.. I.. thank you for sharing that Ms Goode.." i replied, still slightly panicked, but feeling a little better.
"i thought i told you, pretty girl. You can call me Delia."
i bit down softly on my bottom lip.
"Oh yes- right. Delia."
She ran her fingers through her beautiful blonde hair. She was so amazing. Her beauty was breathtaking. I realised i was staring and quickly looked away.
"Could we watch this?" I asked as i clicked on the sound of music.
i always thought the music was so beautiful and the story was enchanting.
"you like this one?" Delia looked at me as she asked, smiling brightly.
"i do, i like it a lot."
"me too. it's one of my favourites actually. play it." she giggled, amazed.
i pressed play as i leant back, getting a little more comfortable. this was about to get interesting.
