If i didn't feel out of place before, then i definitely did now. I sat up in my bed, resting against the head board and reading my
book on 'natural ingredients for perfect potions'. It was corny and stupid, but pretty informative. Something smelled good downstairs, but i was too nervous to go down there by myself.
There was a knock at my door, but before i could ask who was there, Zoe burst in.
"hey kid! Cordelia made breakfast so- you coming? heard you like omelettes."
i rolled my eyes and giggled.
"okay sure. i'll be down in a sec let me grab a hoodie."
Zoe spun back on her slipper and closed the door behind her, shouting "hurry up!" as she headed down the stairs.
I pulled on a blue sweatshirt over my silk pyjamas. They were pretty cute actually, dark blue with pale blue stars all over them. I took myself downstairs, tucking my hair behind my ear and placing my glasses on my head.
"hi."
I smiled as i sat at the brunch bar, spinning my ring that Ms Goode gave to me. She came towards me with a plate of food. It looked delicious.
"Thank you, Delia."
I remembered not to use her full name like she told me to. It somehow felt less awkward.
"The ring suits you." she grinned as she said it. She walked past the bar, standing behind me as I cut a piece of omelette. Out of nowhere, i felt her hands brushing against my hair. She placed my glasses on the counter, moving my stray hairs back into place. She softly pulled it back out of my face, running her fingers through it as she tied it into a messy bun.
"Enjoy your food, sweet girl." she whispered before walking away.
Little did she know, i was practically choking on my eggs.~ sorry it's been so long guys. i'm officially back though!!
