Siren
″What are you going to do, shark teeth?″ Seth asked me as he brought the glass of wine to his lips, a scoff escaping my lips afterward. I looked past him at Peter and Nebi on the couch, the two of them letting out fits of laughter as Peter ran his finger against the bow and arrow Nebi had strung against his lap, his eyes widening in surprise and confusion.
″I'm going to stay here for as long as I can. You know that the kingdom can track me down.″ I mumbled out to him. I brought my own glass of wine up to my lips, immediately setting it down from the bitter taste.
″If you're going to have a little camp out at Jayce's house... stay away from my son. Drake will be here any minute with the rest of them.″ He said to me, his eyes increasingly shining a bright neon green color. I couldn't help but shake my head in disagreement as I placed a hand on his shoulder, giving him a reassuring glance.
″Whatever Drake and I had is in the past.″ I told him. He began nodding his head, his eyebrows furrowing at the hand that rested on his shoulder. I slowly took it off, his eyes still locked with my purple ones.
Drake Di Angelo is someone I have quite a past with, although I'm not too proud of it.
Last year I met him when the warlocks from the third dimension decided to take a visit to my Kingdom. Jaxon had taken his two children Drake and Alice along with him to show them what our Kingdom looked like, although Drake himself was a vampire. There was a big fuss about how his kind isn't appreciated in the sea world... but my father eventually got over it, due to him being directly blood-related to the Grim Reaper himself.
At the time I was very touch-deprived myself. I was growing fairly tired of all of the dates my father was setting up with the different princesses of the Kingdom, knowing full well I wasn't even into women like that.
Meeting him led to many things, such as him bribing his sister to make me a potion so I can go to the surface. Just so we can...
Yeah.
″Maybe my resentment is starting to fade towards you. You're shaping out to be just fine.″ Seth suddenly said to me, breaking me out of my thoughts. I couldn't help but smile myself as he grinned in my direction, his neon green eyes slowly turning back into his emerald green ones. I held out a hand towards him, motioning for him to shake it.
″Friends?″
″Friends.″
I suddenly heard the sound of bickering at the front door, followed by a high-pitched whine and a sigh from Jaxon. I watched as Seth began to shake his head, his lips slowly turning into a soft grin before he ran his tongue over his bottom lip.
″Come, let me introduce you to the rest of my kids. You haven't really met Alice or Dawn yet.″
We walked into the living room where Peter, Nebi, Jaxon, and Jayce sat on the couch. They were gazing over at the group of people that were bickering in front of the door, my eyes immediately landing on Drake.
He looked like a younger version of Seth, thanks to God's handy work. God decided to bless them with a son that had Jaxon and Seth's blood running through their veins, without all of the hard work of pregnancy, although he turned out to be a vampire. One of the most powerful ones, in fact.
He had Seth's black curly hair and pale skin, along with the smaller but muscular build. He was unfortunately cursed with Jaxon's bad eyesight, so he wore a pair of black glasses. He had dark red eyes due to him being a vampire, his clothing style was almost the same as Seth's.
