Siren
I'm fucked.
″Siren, you're so stupid! Oh god, you're bleeding everywhere!″ Salacia screamed at me as I made my way over to the infirmary's table. Her eyes were shining a bright pink in my direction, beginning to chew on her nails out of anxiety. I couldn't help but sigh at her words, wincing in pain as I firmly pressed down on the wound.
″I'm going to be fine, Salacia. I need you to go get the doctor. Do NOT tell mom or dad. Do not alarm anyone. I don't need the Kingdom going mad because I got hurt. You know what kind of chaos that will bring.″
″What do you mean not to tell anyone? I-I should probably tell Venus!-″
″That's one of the biggest people you do NOT tell. I already hear dad enough saying how she would lead the Kingdom better than I do.″
I motioned for her to leave the infirmary, her smaller lips twisting into a pout before turning her back away from me, swimming swiftly out of the infirmary to find the doctor. I let out a deep breath, slowly looking toward the wound. The spear was lodged deeply in my shoulder, the other side of the spear sticking out my backside. It hurt like hell, but... mermen have a better pain tolerance than most.
Mermaids and mermen can be killed, unlike every other mythical being. Although, it is very difficult to kill us. We are secluded away from the rest of the mythical world in the oceans. We are also gifted with thicker skin, amongst other things.
I wasn't that afraid for my life. Peter's father is an old bastard man who is stingy about being banished from the Kingdom all those years ago. So is his mother.
″You are such a dumbass.″
I met my eyes with my sister Melite, her arms crossed over her chest as she gazed at the spear pierced through my shoulder. I couldn't help but scoff at her words, watching as a playful smirk appeared on her lips.
″Are all eight of you going to come to visit me or something? Where is Salacia?″ I asked her. She slowly swam over to the bed of the infirmary, sitting down next to me as she cringed at the sight of the spear.
″She ran into the castle screaming that she can't find the doctor. I decided to come down to prepare you for dad's interrogation.″
I couldn't help but let out a groan at her words, immediately grasping onto the spear that was lodged in my shoulder. I locked eyes with Melite, motioning for her to take ahold of the spear.
″Come on, help me pull it out! I'm not letting him see me like this!″
″You'll kill yourself, Siren! Wait for the doctor!″
Before I could say anything else, the doctor swiftly swam into the infirmary, his eyes widening at the sight. He immediately raised a darker, shaky finger in my direction, shaking his head before he spoke.
″I can usually heal the nonsense you always end up getting yourself into, but this oversteps it! We need a warlock NOW!″
″Don't yell so loud! The kingdom is going to think we have a threat!″
My mother suddenly swam into the room, her eyes flashed with tears as she made her way over to me. She immediately brought her paler hands onto my cheeks, her gaze lingering over to the spear that was lodged in my shoulder.
