Chapter 4 - Rain

Tu's POV

I wasn't able to catch him after I came out from the prom, I wasn't able to run fast because of this high heels that I'm wearing.

"Do you need a lift?"

It was Dew, I cannot believe he followed me here.

"I'm sorry Dew but I already called my dad, he will pick me up"

I gently refused his offer knowing that if I accept his offer I will still catch up with Bright, but no, I dont wanna complicate things more.

"Is there something going on between you and Bright?" He asked as I we wait for my dad to arrive.

"What do you mean? He is my bestfriend Dew, you know that, you have been our classmate since our 1st year high"

"Yeah, but what I mean is do you like him?" He added.

"What kind of question was that? Like? Dew I love Bright, he has been my companion since 8 of course I care about him"

"What I'm saying is like him not as a platonic bestfriend, Tu"

I was lost for words and cant even move my mouth, good thing my dad arrive just in time.

"Ah Dew I have to go, there's my dad right there"

"Okay Tu, but please can you answer my question next time we talk? You know I confessed to you last week right? I'm just hoping you could clarify some things for me coz I like you Tu, and I'm serious about it."

Hearing those words added a little weight on my thoughts, I realized I needed to be fair with Dew too. I just nodded and bid my farewell to him before I get in the car.

While on the road I can't help but rerun the words that Dew had said, but after a while my head is filled with Bright again, like what is going on with him? One thing for sure, I needed to settle everything with him in order to give Dew some proper answer to his question.

In a few minutes we arrived at home, I quickly changed my clothes to something casual.

I hit the doorbell to Bright's home across ours.

"Uhm good evening auntie, did Bright already arrived here from the prom?

"Hi Tu, he just arrived here a while ago, he quickly changed his top, he says he'd go for a walk, I think he went by the treehouse"

"Oh, thank you auntie"

I quicky ran towards the road to the treehouse. It was a cloudy night I can't see any stars from the sky, As I arrived near the treehouse I saw Bright meters away from my position.

"You! Stop right there! This DARKNESS is really making me run! My gosh I can't even breathe properly!"

"Bright! Bright! Will you stop walking fast!" I grabbed his arm. His eyes was unfamiliar, I never seen his eyes like this before, he looked so gloomy.

What?! Are you happy now? You finally took your revenge Tu!" He exclaimed.

"What? What are you talking about?" I was flustered with what he just said, like what on earth???

"I get it Tu, I get it!, This is your revenge for last night, I told you I was sorry!, but this? this hurts Tu" He said this words while catching his breath.

"What are you talking about?" I asked while I was panting from the runs that I had done.

"Dew!, It's so obvious that you like him!, but why you have to do something like this! Why infront of me?" He exclaimed.

He sink into his knees and slowly sit on the ground, is he crying? He had clutched his head down making it hard for me to know if he is okay or what. My heart ache for what I am seeing.
