"What did you just say?! Is that true?" shouted Tsunade
"Yes" said Kotetsu
"According to Haruno Sakura, it appears that there's no mistake." Said Izumo
'To think that he'd start taking action already....' thought Tsunade. 'He wants the Uchiha ability.... that twisted bastard.'
"Izumo, Kotetsu. There's somebody I want you to bring here." said Tsunade in a firm tone
As soon as Tsunade gave the order, Izumo and Kotetsu left the Hokage's office to summon Shikamaru. Soon, Shikamaru arrived at the front door of the Hokage's office. Tsunade immediately gave him permission to enter.
"Uchiha Sasuke apparently slipped out of the village late last night. There's no doubt that he is headed for the Village Hidden in the Sound." She said
"Slipped out?! Why?"
"Because Orochimaru persuaded him to!"
"W-wait a minute, why would Sasuke be persuaded by such a dangerous guy?" Shikamaru asked
"The reason doesn't matter. In any case, there's no time." Said Tsunade. "You will perform your first mission as a Chunin."
Shikamaru looked at Tsunade. "So all I have to do is bring Sasuke back?"
'Well... if we don't run into the enemy, it shouldn't be much of a problem....' he thought
"Yes. However, not only is time of the essence on this mission, but it may turn into something quite difficult." Said Tsunade
"What?!"
"There's a strong possibility that those under the control of Orochimaru are guiding Sasuke."
Shikamaru frowned. 'This is turning into a real pain in the neck. But why him..... during the class I always thought he was amazing no matter what he was doing. I always looked up to him.'
"In that case, please give me a four man team composed only of Jounin and Chunin" Said Shikamaru
"I'm afraid I can't do that...."
"Huh? Why?!"
"You already know the answer to that. Right now, only the barest minimum number of Jounin have been left behind and the others have all left the village on missions." Said Tsunade
"Within the next 30 minutes, gather as many worthy Genin that you see fit, and leave immediately!"
"It's a drag but it's someone I know, I can't just let it be. Well, I'll do what I can." said Shikamaru as he sighed
"There's one person I want to recommend to you. He is very useful in case something troublesome happen." Said Tsunade.
Shikamaru looked at Tsunade with a frown. "Who?"
Suddenly Naruto appeared at the window of the Hokage's office. "Ahh Tsunade no baa chan ... don't tell me the person you're talking about is me?" he said in a bored tone
"Naruto?!" said Tsunade and Shikamaru.
'Since when is he here??' thought Shikamaru. He looked at Naruto who casually entered the Hokage's office then leaned against the wall lazily.
