December: shopping trip

December came around very quickly. November was just pure chaos, so it was a good job it went so quick. But, it was coming up to Christmas and they all loved the month of December so much. They spent most of it talking about what they were going to buy for each person and their plans for Christmas. They decided that they were all going to go on a shopping trip together to buy things for each person. So they did.

It was December 16th, a cold Wednesday. They went after school to this massive shopping centre. They were all so excited as this was something they'd never done before independently and it looked so cool! Especially because of all the pretty decorations hung around everywhere and that music that you hear every year was blaring in the background. It was just so nice for their first time.

Once they'd properly looked around, they decided to split up. Kai and Elliot were going to stay close together and so were Kyra and Logan. They weren't about to go off alone in this place, although as nice as it was they didn't know what might go on there... So off they went in their pairs in separate directions.

Kai and Elliot found themselves in a clothes shop. It was mainly coats, hats, scarves... you get the point. There wasn't really much to see. Until they noticed there was a sign pointing to an upstairs. They decided to go up just to see what was there. There was definitely more to see. There was a whole home section and they decided to go that way because they knew how obsessed Kyra was with practically pointless decorations. They just loved them for 'display purposes'. They looked around until they found some fake plants. Kyra was obsessed with plants although she could never keep one alive. This was the perfect option. They both got her one each. They were a reasonable price too.

However, Logan and Kyra were in a drug store. They were looking at makeup. Eli loved makeup a lot so they considered this this best option. They took a while deciding on what to buy, but then they found this new eyeshadow palette they thought he'd like. It was all the colours of the rainbow. They picked it up and walked up to the counter. The lady at the counter said smiling "and is this all for today?". "yep" Kyra said slightly panicking because they couldn't find where they put their money. Logan just payed for her in the end. She was a very anxious person so he didn't want her to stress trying to find it.

Once they were out of the shop, Kyra decided to text Kai about meeting up again. They ended up meeting at this starbucks they had inside. Logan went and ordered the drinks. Elliot had a peach iced tea, Kai had a galaxy hot chocolate, Logan had a latte and Kyra had an apple juice. As you can tell, they were very individual people with very different taste. They sat down and told each other part of what had happened while the other was gone. After that, all they had to do was get something for Kai and Logan now. They drank their drinks and headed off again.

This time, Kai and Elliot ended up in another clothes store for Logan. But it was one they knew he particularly liked. They looked around hoping to find something they thought he definitely didn't already have. It was hard, but in the end they bought him a white hoodie from the new in section with red roses embroidered on the sleeves. It was a very nice hoodie.

Kyra and Logan, however ended up in a bookstore. Reading wasn't typically Kai's thing but it was Kyra's. She always said to him she'd find the right book for him so he'd like reading more, but it just never happened. So this was their chance. They straight away went over to the lgbtq+ section because they thought that was what he'd most likely read, if anything. They found this book they thought he'd really like and bought it. It was a successful shopping trip.
