The Three Months Rule !

Chapter 7

"3 million ?!", Sam exclaimed.

Sivaangi nodded weakly still locked on the admission form. Sam had a mini heart attack when he heard the amount of money they'll be needing to cure her mom. Neither Sam or Sivaangi had or could prepare that kind of money, they knew that very well. However, Sivaangi was determined to save her mother no matter what.

"I will be back", Sam said as he got up from the couch but was held back by Sivaangi who knew exactly what he's gonna do.

"Your bike ?", Sivaangi asked.

"I don't mind Siv, we atleast have to prepare the admission fees first", Sam said.

"No, you're not selling anything, I know your situation as well. Here, take this...", Sivaangi said while handing her bike key to Sam.

"But Siv...", Sam hesitated.

"Just do it Sam...wait this too", Sivaangi took out her chain and ring, handed it to Sam as well.

"Siv...", Sam hesitated.

"Please Sam, just do it", Sivaangi said.

Sam sighed and left the house with the only possessions she had.

The next day...

Sivaangi left to the hospital early and paid the admission fees. A little sigh of relief to know that her mom will be taken care of, atleast for now. She wholeheartedly wanted to stay there with Geetha ma, but she have to be at work to be able to run this life.

Since she doesn't have her bike anymore, she had to take the bus to work. Honestly she had a pretty clumsy and hectic morning already and now she's running late.

She reached the office building and rushed to her cabin. She noticed that Ashwin was already there and he noticed her as well. Sivaangi knocked and went in to Ashwin's office.

"Amma eppadi irukangeh ?", Ashwin asked before Sivaangi could say anything.

This caring side her boss was something new to her. Weirdly, it felt good.

"She's fine", Sivaangi lied, doesn't want her new boss to know what she's going through.

"Send my regards to her.....also the files are on your desk", Ashwin said with a slight smile.

Sivaangi nodded and slightly turned towards the exit but before she could take a step, she collapsed to the floor.

"Heyyyy !!", Ashwin exclaimed as he ran to her.

He lifted her head and held her in his arms. She tapped in her cheeks in an attempt of waking her up. But it failed. Holding someone in his arms unconscious was bringing Ashwin back the trauma he endured. He became more panic as Sivaangi didn't respond to his shaking. He ran to his table and grabbed a bottle of water. He then rushed back to her and splashed some water on her face.

Luckily, Sivaangi gained consciousness. She couldn't focus on the fact that she was dizzy or the fact that she was on Ashwin's arms !

She quickly got up while still not having enough balance to stand.

"Hey, careful", Ashwin held her arm, preventing her from falling again. Then, he guided her to the couch in his office. He gave her some water.

"Shall I call the doctor ?", Ashwin asked.

"No no, I'm fine", Sivaangi said gulping the water.

"What's the matter then ?", Ashwin asked again.

"I guess I didn't eat, probably that's why. It's fine", Sivaangi said.

"How many hours has it been since you last ate ?", Ashwin interrogated like a doctor.

"Like 2 days probably", Sivaangi said.

"Two days ?! Are you being serious ?" Ashwin exclaimed.

It felt new for Sivaangi to see someone she just met a few days ago care for her that much. She smiled sheepishly.

"Vaa polam", Ashwin grabbed his phone and headed towards the exit.

"Where ?", Sivaangi asked confused.

"To eat, do you know that humans need food to survive ? And you're going to tell me what's actually going on", Ashwin said holding the door open, waiting for Sivaangi.

"But there's pending work..", Sivaangi pointed to her desk.

"Work can wait, nee first vaa", Ashwin said.

Sivaangi obeyed to Ashwin and followed him silently to his car.
