5:50 AM

Sivaangi woke up with mixed feelings, sense of relief mixed with more anxiousness. She's more than happy that she could save her mother but at the same time, she's anxious about the new 3 months journey that she's about to endure starting today.

Kringggggggg....

The incoming call interrupted her daydreaming.

"Hello ?", she said as she answered the unknown number.

"Hello Ms Sivaangi ?", the lady on the phone asked.

"Yes it's me", Sivaangi said.

"We're calling from Hope Hospital, you're Mrs Geetha's daughter am I right ?", the lady asked.

"Ya..yess, is everything okay ?", Sivaangi asked nervously.

"Yes everything is fine, we're just calling to inform you that you'll need to come to sign some papers so we can start Mrs Geetha's treatment right away", the lady said.

"Wait...how about the payment ?", Sivaangi asked confused, as far as she knew, she didn't make any payment yet.

"Yes miss, we received a cheque from Mr. Ashwin earlier today, we'll show you the bill breakdown and other necessary things once you're here", the lady said.

"Oh...okay, I'll be there", Sivaangi said still in surprise that Ashwin already made the payment.

Just as she grabbed her bag in a rush to leave her house, the doorbell rang. She opened the door and saw Sam.

"Hey", Sam smiled with a little wave.

"Hey Sam, come in", Sivaangi said quite excitedly.

"So listen, I've asked a few people and we could arrange about 50,000...", Sam began talking as he walked in.

"Sam", Sivaangi tried to interrupt Sam but failed, he kept talking.

"And for the rest we'll keep trying, oh and also I've asked my dad about...", Sam continued.

"Sam !", Sivaangi said a little louder, loud enough to interrupt Sam.

"What ?", Sam asked annoyed.

"We've got the money we need, and the payment is already done", Sivaangi said with a smile. At this point she's overwhelmed by how much effort Sam is taking for her.

"What ? How ?", Sam asked in disbelief.

And that's a question Sivaangi struggled to answer. Which made her question if the decision she made was true ?

"Sivaangi ? Do you hear me ?", Sam tapped her cheeks.

"Ahh, yes. I got it as a loan from my boss", Sivaangi said.

"What ? You just joined there and your boss loaned you 3 million ?", Sam asked suspiciously.

"Yes...yes. He's a kind hearted man, what can I say", Sivaangi tried to make Sam believe. Part of it was true, she just didn't reveal what she had to do to earn that money, just because the promise she made Ashwin.

Sam just gave a disagreement look without saying anything.

"But hey, amma is going to be fine", Sivaangi said changing the topic.

"Yeah, that's what matter the most", Sam said giving Sivaangi a warm hug. Something that she much needed from her best friend.

Just as they were talking, Sivaangi received a text message.

"I'll meet you at the hospital then we're going to meet my family", the text from Ashwin said.

"Oh crap", Sivaangi said.

"What's wrong ?", Sam asked.

"No it's nothing, I need to get going to the hospital", Sivaangi said.

"Let's go", Sam said.

"Wait, I'll just go by myself. You must have works to do", Sivaangi tried to escape, not wanting Sam and Ashwin to clash.

"Shut up and just come", Sam dragged Sivaangi. She just followed him with no choice and hope for the best.
