Marcus POV
*lunch*
    The day is halfway over thank god. I get my lunch and sit at a table with Billy and two other people I met earlier named Lex and Petra. I look at y/n and we make eye contact, but quickly goes back to her conversation with saya. "Trouble in paradise eh mate?" Lex says. "What? Uh no." I said stammering over my words. "Oh come on it's obvious that you like her Marcus, you basically drool over her." Petra says and I roll my eyes.

   Next thing I know I see Maria walking in with Chico. She looks happy but almost ashamed to be with him, forced you could say. I hate that about their relationship. "Hello Marcus over here man." Billy says. "Man her too? How many crushes do you have." He says chuckling with Lex. "Oh pipe down Billy, besides she has a boyfriend. She seems pretty happy with him. And so what if I like y/n she doesn't seem into me anyways." I say as me and y/n make eye contact for the second time.

    It was a little longer this time like she was reading my mind or as if she almost heard our conversation. She breaks the contact and leaves the cafeteria. "Hey guys I'll be back." I say getting up following her and I see her stop in a dimly lit hallway.

Y/N POV

    When I made eye contact with Marcus I felt something I've never felt before. Something in all of my teen years I've never felt from anyone, not even my own family. Was it love? No I can't be in love or have any feelings towards him we've only met today and I'm positive he doesn't feel the same towards me. Maybe he has something for Maria.

    I snapped out of my thoughts and left the cafeteria going into my normal spot in this dimly lit hallway, but I felt like I was being watched or even followed so I stopped. I look around for a second seeing nothing there but a slight shadow in the distance behind me. I turn back around facing forward and take a breath. "Is someone there?" I say but there's no response. I get a little irritated as I speak again. "Answer me, I know someone's here." I say as I hear footsteps walking towards me. I keep my composure and turn around as I see the shadow grow closer and closer to me nearing one of the lights.

    As the figure moves closer I notice it's a male figure. A slim figure with curly hair and a chiseled jawline. I knew it could be one person and one person only. "Marcus?" I say. "How did you guess it was me?" He says with a slight smirk stepping into the light in front of me. "Your figure says a lot about you, it wasn't hard to figure out when you were getting closer." I say with a slight smile. "But why did you follow me?" I say.

    "Well I just saw you leave so suddenly I just wanted to make sure you were okay." He says then sits down with his back against the wall. "Come on sit with me, I know you don't want to go back in there. Is there something on your mind?" He asks as I end up sitting next to him and I let out a sigh. "Well it's just a lot of stuff at home and then there's this guy he's badass and knows how to stick up for himself, but he's really sweet too.

    So there's that and I think I might like him but I don't think he's interested in me." I say. I'm surprised I let all of my feelings I had for him just go out in the open like that. Someone like me would've probably blurted his name out, but I ended up being casual about it. Marcus looks at me like he wants to say something but he also looks like he's trying to gather his thoughts.

   "Well whoever the guy is he may be into you too, you just might not know it yet. Some guys act like they don't care or they might play it off to make it seem they're interested in someone else, but the truth is they might be falling as hard for you as you falling for them." He says looking directly in my eyes. We shared eye contact for a while and he places his hand on my thigh still looking into my eyes.

  "Y/n I like you too and I know you were talking about me. I had feelings for Maria but when I see you everything changes she's just another girl to me, but you're not any ordinary girl to me." He says. I'm speechless and don't know what to say. He looks at my lips and I do the same with his and with that he leaves a small peck on my lips. We look at each other for a second then get up from off the floor.

   "Maybe we should head back it's gonna be time for class soon." I say smiling a little from what happened previously. He notices and smiles too. "Yeah wouldn't wanna be late." He says and we take off down the hall to the sound of the bell ringing for the next class.
