New heir

King Enji was delighted as this was an excuse for letting Shoto become the heir however the rest of the family was horrified by the news and knew Enji was lying. They loved Touya because he was an amazing brother and always told the siblings that things will be normal in no time. The wife of the King, Queen Rei, was most broken hearing her son was dead.

Shoto wasn't at all excited to be King. He knew that Fuyumi had the right to the thrown and not him. However the whole kingdom including the all pro knights only knew her as the local teacher and Natsuo as the local doctor. He was still little when Touya died and couldn't stop crying when he heard. One day he walked into his mother boiling water and next thing he knew she poured it on him.

She soon realise and got her sword, then she gently used it to help him. Then King Enji entered by the sound of his scream and took his wife away. Natsuo and Fuyumi came running and helped him. The burn was permanent and Natsuo was too young to know about medical stuff yet and so was Fuyumi. The news spread and King Enji told everyone that the Touya incident was driving the Queen mad. Half true. Shoto knew that his father's abuse was the other why his mother snapped and blamed his father for it all.

When Shoto grew older he only used the ice side of his sword out of revenge for his mother. Although when he was put into UA, a school for knights, he met one of his classmates, Izuku Midoriya, who has a stronger yet mysterious sword. Shoto was soon encouraged by this Midoriya to use his other side and though he was hesitant, he actually started using his left side. Soon Shoto was friends with Midoriya and always asked if Midoriya was All might's secret love child since their swords were very very similar. His friend was always nervous at that question and always said "No Todoroki-kun".
