INTERMISSION I

Felix left Hongjoong's room giggling like a child. At the same time, Hyunjin was also leaving Yunho's room, which was right next to Hongjoong's. They both widened their eyes and shouted "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?". Hongjoong peeped out of the door and, upon seeing that Yunho was as taken aback as he was, he pushed Felix back inside and signaled towards the others to follow him. He made sure no one was creeping in the corridor and closed the door behind him.

"WHAT IS GOING ON?" he asked, pointing at Yunho and Hyunjin.

"I'd kinda ask you the same thing" Yunho replied, scratching his head.

"Wait...don't tell me you guys are dating" Felix said in disbelief.

"What, you are, too?" Hyunjin sat on the bed and took Yunho's hands in his, rubbing them soothingly. "Is that why we heard noise coming from your room?"

Hongjoong turned red and shook his head frantically.
"Hold on a minute. Am I the only one who finds this totally irrational?" He was almost flaming, trying to process what was happening before them. He was supposed to not let this happen, after all.

"Why?" Hyunjin questioned. "Is it that wrong to date?

"No, but-"

"What I presume you're trying to say" Felix interrupted "is probably that having two couples among two groups will cause trouble. Right, Joong?"

"Yes. Thank you" Hongjoong smiled and gently caressed his arm.

"Yeah, that's true. But why are you dating in the first place, then?"

"That's...not the point. Besides, didn't you say you wouldn't be the one to do this, Yunho?"

Yunho blushed and looked at Hyunjin lovingly.
"It kind of happened. I-I couldn't help it."

Hongjoong sighed.
"I suppose that's what happened with us, also. But please, for the love of everything, don't tell the others. We must protect them, especially the maknaes."

"Why the maknaes?"

"Because...they're still too young to date. It will distract them a-and they may neglect their responsibilities." Hongjoong was spilling nonsense, overcome by his constant anxiousness.

"Oh, so now I'm a distraction?" Felix asked in a playful manner.

"Y-you know how I mean it."

"Mhm, right"

"A-anyway. As I said. Make sure that you keep it as lowkey as possible."

"I can't guarantee that." Hyunjin said, caressing the purple and red marks that decorated Yunho's neck.

Yunho almost died of embarrassment but managed to compose himself and nodded.
"Alright, ok. Got it. We'll keep it lowkey."

Hyunjin laughed and got up from the bed.
"See you later, Yun. Let's go now, Felix." He walked to the door.

Felix cleared his throat.
"Right. Yeah. Uh, tomorrow at the practice room?"

"Yep" Hongjoong nodded, a slight smirk on his lips. He gave one last pat on Felix's shoulder and went to sit next to Yunho.

The two boys left the room after checking the hallway and slowly headed towards the shared dorm. Hyunjin broke the silence first:

"You are one slick little bitch, Felix."

"As if you aren't."
