Tubbo woke up when the screaming started, his hands started shaking as he looked up at the barely visible ceiling. His ears flicked back at the sound of the door slamming at the top of the stairs. Shuffling feet going downstairs can be heard. A thud is heard as hooves hit the floor of the basement. Tubbo's face grew wet with tears as he shivered in fear, clutching the bee plushie he had gotten from quackity. Suddenly, he was grabbed by the arm, causing him to drop the plushie. He cried as he was dragged up the stairs to a quackity on the floor. He was flung in quackity's direction, yelping when he hit the ground, landing right beside the older duck hybrid.

"So, you're saying you have never seen him?" Schlatt scoffed, glaring at the man. "Pathetic, why would you hide that from me, Alex? Are you scared of me? Fucking pathetic slut" schlatt spat onto the quivering boy, who was too afraid to respond. Tubbo grabbed onto quackity, shivering as he snuggled into the bruised boy's chest. Quackity clung onto the boy, watching Schlatt with a glare. Schlatt ripped tubbo away from the shivering man though, proceeding to drag him back down the stairs, quackity yelled for Schlatt to stop but the man didn't listen. Instead, he threw Tubbo down onto the small mattress on the floor, smashing the beer bottle onto the ground and grabbing a piece of glass. He smiled sadistically as he crept towards the frozen boy, who watched in fear as his supposed 'father' was about to either kill him or hurt him incredibly badly. Tears fell like a waterfall down the boy's plump cheeks, the baby fat that clung to his bones still there. He swung down on the small kid but was stopped by an arm, getting knocked down by a strong force of the wind. Schlatt gasped as the wind was taken out of his lungs, his back hitting harshly against the cold floor causing a sharp pain to shoot up his spine, an electric feeling causing him to be paralyzed for a moment. Wings wrapped around the boy, grabbing his bee plush and other things before rushing back up the stairs.

He quickly grabbed a bag, stuffed a lot of necessities and such into the bag, then ran up to the room he once shared with Schlatt, grabbing some clothes and running to the window, the boy still in his arms. He pulled his free arm through the straps of the backpack, switching arms and pulling the other one through the other strap, before opening the window with his free arm and sitting on the ledge, jumping off. Before he could get far though, a furry hand grabbed his leg, a yelp being pushed passed his lips as he fought against it, his wings flapping harder than ever before.

"You can't leave me! You both need me! Come on back inside quackity, this is foolish!" Schlatt tried to reason but quackity just struggled even more.

"Let go of me! You don't love me, you just want to use me! The only good thing that's come out of dating you, schlatt, is I got to meet tubbo!" Schlatt gave a confused look, his hard eyes glaring at quackity with rage.

"His name is Toby, not tubbo!" Schlatt screamed. Quackity scoffed, kicking his hand off before taking off into the woods. He heard the screams of schlatt as he continued moving, intent on getting tubbo away from that beast of a man. He truly saw the cracks in the wall of their relationship. A foundation that was supposed to be stable and trustworthy, turned out to be so broken. Quickly, bad thoughts swarmed the man's mind space, a frown appearing on the winged man as he slowed down. He landed on the ground, feet crunching against the snow. Damn, he was so lost in his thoughts, that he didn't even notice the terrain changing. He quickly grabbed his backpack, fishing out a blanket and wrapping it around the small goat boy, who was now shivering. He cuddled more into quackity, who wrapped his wings around the small toddler in his arms, making sure he was warm. He walked for a while, shivering as the cold nipped at his bare shoulders, he should've grabbed his jacket, but in the rush to get out safely, he forgot it. That would be his impending doom, as now he was walking through the snowy tundra with nothing to keep him warm. He sighed as he continued walking. After a couple of hours, his feet were starting to ache, the cold starting to get to him. He sniffled as he held the now sleeping boy closer, the only warmth he could feel. His wings were starting to ache from being in the same position for so long. At some point it started snowing, so quackity started getting extra cold. His shivering got worse, and he started to turn slightly blue, purple creeping on his fingertips and most likely his toes, meaning he was beginning to get frostbite. He stumbled in the snow. Wrapping his wings fully around the boy as he dropped onto the snow-covered ground. Consciousness left him as the cold took over. The last thing he could say before slipping into inevitable sleep was

"I love you, mijo"
