- Harry's POV -
But the next thing I know, everything turned black...
"Harry?... Harry! HARRY!" I got snapped back into life at the shrill sounds of a nurse's voice. I shot up in my hospital bed, panting. I looked around, my blurry vision landing on the female figure if someone I didn't recognise.
"Oh- Harry, follow my breathing:" the nurse sighed in relief, "in, out, in, out" she repeated the pattern until I had calmed down a bit more.
"Harry, are you okay?" She asked, concern dripping from every word.
"Yeah, y-yeah" I stuttered and inhaled deeply, "I- just a-a p-panic at-tack." She looked at me worriedly.
"Do you get then often?" She asked. I nodded, not trusting my already stuttery voice to stay calm.
"Do you know why you ge-" I interrupted, not wanting to talk about it,
"Sorry, not m-meaning to be rude, b-but who are you?" She looked at me, almost to say I have an idea of why you do - but carried on,
"Oh m-me? I'm Ailleen Harper, one of the nurses here." She said finishing with a small smile.
"O-oh, r-right. And W-where a-m I?" I asked.
"Your in Scarsdale Hospital. Did you not know that?"
"N-no, how long w-was I out?"
"Around two or three days." I looked at her, wide eyed.
"T-three day-ays? I stuttered
"Yes. Are you alright?" Ailleen asked.
"Y-yes why-y?" I replied, confused.
"Your stuttering still, and are slightly shaking." She pointed out.
"I- oh yes. T-the stu-stuttering of because I you have- W-well I have a-a st-stutter." I said, trying my best to keep the stuttering under control. I'm usually quite good at, but after having a fit or panic attack, the stutter comes back completely until I can calm down again.
"Right, and the shaking?"
"I-I have quite b-bad attacks, so th-the sha-shaking doesn't go away for a W-while." I explained awkwardly, she didn't need to know about my anxiety. I already wanted this conversation over with.
"It says here that you suffer from anxiety, does that play a part?" Okay, never mind, she already knows-but how? Did someone tell her? Why would they te-
"Harry?" I felt someone touch my arm, and flinched harshly.
"Oh sorry- umm are you okay? You zoned out for a while." I looked at her, comprehending what she just said, it took about five seconds.
"Yes I'm fine- t-that happens a lot" I finally said. "An-and how did you n-know about my anxiet-ty?"
"Oh, it says it here, your friends told Dr Davies, I've if the doctors, about them, in fact, there are quite alo-"
"Ron? Hermione? There're here?" I asked hurriedly,
"Why- if you mean Ms Granger the others then yes" She said. "I asked them to leave the room when you stated your panic attack."
"C-could you bring them in?" I asked before adding, "P-please?"
"Of course!" And with that, she stood rather quickly and left out the door.Whoop whoop 🙌 Five chapters!
