Nicole's POV

I parked in the driveway and made sure my eyes weren't puff and red because I don't want to talk to my mom about Jordan. Again. I just want to forget him and move on.

I unlocked the door to my house. "Mom! I'm home!" I called out to her before I ran upstairs to my room.

I got my suitcase out the closet and went to work. It might be cold in New York but that won't stop me from pulling out crop tops and skirts. I packed my heels and Vans into another suitcase. I had to sit on it for it to close. I go the suitcases downstairs to the door. I saw mom in the kitchen and decided to talk to her for a bit.

"So you ready?" She asked me.

"More than ready," I was stoked to be going to see Selena Gomez, Iggy Azalea, Maroon 5 and not to forget my favorite, 5 Seconds Of Summer. Just to imagining those 4 boys makes me excited.

"Well, I want you to be safe. So don't talk to strangers and don't do anything wouldn't do," Out of all the speeches she gave, she never gave me the "Don't Talk To Strangers" speech. So I was kinda weirded out by that but I was more amazed at what she did next: She gave me money.

"Here," she handed it to me.

"What is this for?" I took it and started examining it, like it was contagious.

"You know, emergency money," she sipped her strong coffee.

"Emergency money?" What's really going to happen when we need emergency money?

"Just in case," She was scared and I could see. It was written all over her face. It would be the first time that we've ever been apart. She's my real best friend. I tell her everything because if I don't she usually finds out. So there's no point in hiding it. I don't like leaving her here alone, even if it is for 2 days.

"Aw, mom," I pulled her into a hug. "I love you, so much," I said into her hair.

Joan's POV

"I love you too," I have to be strong for her so I tried not to cry because this might be the last time I see her in a long time and she doesn't know it.

She doesn't know how proud I am of her singing. She's so talented. I was against it at first when she started singing and playing the piano because it reminded me too much of her father. But I realize that its a blessing. She's a blessing.

Ryan said that I probably won't see her until she comes back on the west coast which will be sometime in May due to her touring with the other little band she likes and her signing with Capitol Records.

May. Five months and some odd weeks away. But I'm happy. I can't wait to see her face on TV when she realizes it.
