By the time I got back down to town, everything was resolved...sort of.

Bee (who was rather bruised) and Newt were still angry, and their mother stood protectively in front of them. Ryder was sadly fine, his nose was bleeding a little and he was bruised and cut all over. Clover's arm had marks on it and his shirt was torn. Erika was holding Ryder down on the ground with an impressive amount of strength. She was probably a vampire like her cousin.

"Y/N, I thought I told you to—" I ran up to him and held on to him tightly.

"Clover I...I was so worried about you!" He wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Y/N, are you alright?" I stared up at him. I could hear my heartbeat in my ears.

I stayed silent, enjoying the moment of peace with him. He was warm for a cold blooded creature, he was gorgeous, he cared. We stayed like that for a long time, he didn't move and I didn't either, I just burrowed my face into his neck. He was the peace in my life. My balance. The eye of my storm.

We were finally at peace. It felt as if everything was in it's place, everyone was satisfied.

With him, at least.

I was pissed enough as it was, dealing with Lennon in my lab at all times. Now I had to deal with people fucking with my younger sibling again! They were always bullied by others as a child, though it didn't faze them, it fazed me. I was sick and fucking tired of people messing with my family.

Bee wasn't smiling. I hated when he wasn't smiling. It was unnerving and worrying. When our mother showed up, she was pissed too. She banned Ryder from her bar and hugged Bee. Bee still wasn't smiling.

When we were back to the lab, they were still silent. Lennon went quiet when he entered. I probably needed to talk to him before continuing the interrogation. I went to the bunks in the lab with him and locked the door. They stared at the floor and their tail swung in an agitated way.

"Bee—"

"They called us half-breeds. He called you an idiot and he said—" I saw the angry tears begin to form.

"Bee." I hugged my brother. What else could I have done. He stood still for a moment before hugging me back. A moment of peace for the family. A moment of peace.

—————Erika—————

I came here just to visit my husband and my cousin, yet my husband was no where to be seen. I had met Connie and seen Bee again, and yet no sign of my husband. I saw my vampiric cousin and even Ryder.

Where could Lennon be?

That's when I heard noises from my cousin's house. I moved quickly through the door, but the noise lessened. It must've been from outside. I wandered around outside and saw Beelzebub and Newt.

"Erika." Newt started, standing in front of Bee. "We need to talk to you about your husband."

"Oh. Do you know where he is?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Yes. But we're going to have to tell you something first." Newt spoke and I cocked my head. What could be more important than my missing spouse? "Lennon is—"

"Your husband is cheating on you!" Bee chimed in, chipper as always. I froze.

"...what?" I hoped I had misheard him. I wouldn't put it past Lennon. He had cheated in the past, yet he had promised me he would never do it again. I wasn't upset, I was simply pissed.

"Yeah he tried to make a move on Y/N so I kidnapped him!" This was not surprising to hear, Bee and Newt do run a mafia, kidnapping is the least of their crimes, plus there was probably more to it, "Newt also has footage of him cheating!" Bee enclasped his hands and smiled.

"I see, is there any other reason you kidnapped him? I mean, you didn't know I'd be coming." I asked.

"Oh yeah-so Ryder like, tried to buy a love potion or whatever so we interrogated Lennon!" What was I really expecting?

"Did you find anything?" I pondered.

"Oh of course, Lennon spilled his guts after a few minutes alone with me!" I stared expectantly.

"So what did you find out..?" Newt stayed silent and glanced at their sibling.

"Your husband is a cowardly bastard who's scared of a teenager!" They said it like they were called on in class.

"True but that's not...what I meant," Newt sighed and they began to speak.

"We can't tell you exactly what we learned from your husband, but we will be letting him go right now." Newt turned to a cellar hatch on the forest floor.

"I'll go grab him!" Bee excitedly volunteered and hopped down the hatch, returning with a scuffed up Lennon. "Here you go!" They tossed him forward and he hurried to his feet, taking steps away from the siblings.

"Thank you?" I turned to Lennon.

"Oh thank god you're here, Erika! These crazed half-breeds kidnapped—" I saw a flash of anger on Bee's face, stepping forward before Newt stopped him with their arm.

"Lennon. I need to talk to you." I was fucking pissed. Imagine expecting me, a mixed species, to be supportive of him.

—————Clover—————

I stood still with her arms wrapped around me, it was the only thing that stopped me from biting the nearest person I could find. I wouldn't bite Y/N without her acceptance. Her hand was bleeding but she didn't seem to notice, and if she did, she didn't care.

I could see Ryder, who was now being escorted away by Bee's mother. He glared at me, I could feel his stare against me. I smiled at him, almost laughing. He never protected her. He never understood her. He never gave her the affection she deserved. He never deserved her. He never cared about her.

So I would.

She's mine, Ryder.
