—————Newt—————

"Newt!" He grabbed my arm and I flinched again and knocked his arm off quickly.

"Jeez I'm here, stop grabbing my arm!" I yanked my arm away and avoided looking him in the eyes. "What?"

"We're at the portal hub!" Pro smiled and stepped away.

The others followed after him and Bee stood next to me while they temporarily forgot our presence.

"So what happened with Pro?" Bee pondered tiredly.

"Nothing." I defended myself and Bee looked at me unfazed and still exhausted, before blinking and rubbing their eyes.

"I thought you guys were really close friends." Bee yawned and glanced at him from the distance. I avoided following his gaze.

"We were never friends." I grumbled and hurriedly walked over to the group, while Bee stood there, only a bit of confusion and slight shock shone through his tired face. "He's a divorced loser."

"Oh..." He said and caught up to the rest of us. Through the portal, everything seemed at peace, it was quiet and empty. "He was married?" I heard Bee mumbled to himself, confused.

I didn't care much for being back, don't get me wrong, it's better than hell, but I'm not exactly patriotic when it comes to this town.

"Where is everyone..?" Connor asked, gazing at the seemingly abandoned town.

"The only people who I know are still here is your mom." Clover shrugged and gestured towards me.

"Kore is in town?!" Pro blurted out, locking eyes with me.

"She lives here, idiot." I stared and looked away quickly, thinking if I did there was a chance I could catch his stupidity through eye contact.

"Can we just...relax for a bit?" Connor sighed and she leaned against Clover's shoulder. "I just...I just got kidnapped I would...I would really like to lay down." I glanced at her shoulder and how her arm seemed a tad longer than before.

"Connor is your arm okay..?" I asked, pointing to her.

"It's dislocated...when the portal blew up I must've hit something." She shrugged and clearly regretted it after she grimaced and grabbed onto her shoulder.

"Maybe you should come to our lab—" Bee started.

"No." Clove paused, realizing how aggressive he sounded. "I'll...I'll take care of her." He wrapped an arm around her waist gently.

"I wanna come to the lab!" Pro jumped excitedly, looking up at me with pleading eyes.

"No."

"Speaking of the lab, have any of you seen my phone?" Bee glanced around.

Clove sighed and pulled a phone out of his pocket. "Give me a reason why I should give this back to you, Bee."

"Uhhhh..." Bee contemplated, "...because its mine..?"

"Try again."

"Ummmmmmm..." Bee blinked, "...uh I have...government secrets on it..?"

"When did you even get Bee's phone?" I asked, shifting my weight to one side.

"In the lab...he got...a notification."  Clove looked at me with another loud sigh.

"Oh I did? Was it Logan?" We all turned to look at him.

"Who the fuck is Logan?!" I shook my head. What was it with all of the strangers my brother knew?

"Some guy." He shrugged.
