If you can hold your tank/jar while it is full of water, it is too small to hold a fish(betta included)

Testing your water- is how you get to be successful in this hobby

If you run into a problem- test your water first

It is not just testing for pH, nitrate, nitrites and ammonia but also the temperature of the water

Water testing- is an important factor in aquarium maintenance and disease prevention

It is important so that we won’t get into the wrong approach in fixing a tank and not compound a problem. For example trs the tank not realizing that the tapwater contains more nitrate because the water company have to fllush the pipe system and you are losing your mind not knowing why there is a sudden increase in nitrate level of the tank

…Helps us know what to do from the start. Whether or not we need to add or ignore ferts with nitrates for our plnats or if we need to add hardness to our water for our fishes
