Albus Dumbledore sat in his office with Minerva. He looked up as Hagrid walked in. "What is it Hagrid?" He asked as he smiled.
Hagrid looked to him. "Cassie Potter is at the gates. She's crying saying she needs help."
Albus stood up. He turned to Minerva. "Fetch Severus," he told the woman next to him. "Hagrid. Let us go to the school gates."

Cassie stood there. Tears pouring down her cheeks. Her eyes black. She saw Albus walking towards her. He smiled sadly. "Hello Cassie. How can I help you?" He asked as he looked to her.
"I-I need your help. Please," she sobbed. She was looking around. She needed to make sure he didn't find her. "Please."
Albus opened the gates and let her in. She fell to the floor crying. He helped her up and turned to see Severus Snape and Minerva walking towards them. "What's happened dear?" He asked.
"L-Lucius. He...He beats me. He's not the man he makes out to be in public. Please. I need your help," she sobbed.
Minerva covered her mouth in shock. She remembered Cassie when she left school seven years ago. She was a different person. She was lively and full of character. Now she was a shell of her former self.
Albus looked to Cassie. He knew she wasn't lying. He knew that he wanted to help her. Especially as he knew she was only guilty of falling in love. "Come on dear."

Cassie sat in the office with Albus, Minerva and Severus. Poppy had checked her over. "There's no lasting damage. Just bruising which will disappear within 24 hours."
"T-Thank you."
Poppy smiled and turned away. She felt the tears slipping down her cheeks at seeing how broken the Potter girl was. She wanted to make Lucius Malfoy suffer.
When Poppy had gone, Albus looked to Cassie. "Tell is everything."
Cassie nodded. She wiped away the tears and smiled as Minerva took her hand. "He was so lovely at first. Making me feel like a princess. Treating me like I was his everything. After his divorce with Narcissa, I wanted to show him what love was. But then he turned on me after a couple of months. Started degrading me. Making me feel inferior. I thought I'd be able to handle it. Obviously, I couldn't. He forced me into having sex with him once. Then he made out that I wanted it. When I didn't. That was the only time with that. Every time he wanted sex, I let him."
Minerva was quietly sobbing in the corner. Albus looked pale. Severus couldn't even look at Cassie. He knew all too well what Lucius was like. "Why did you come here?" Severus asked as he looked out the window. "Surely you should know this is the first place he will come to look for you."
Cassie rolled her eyes. "He won't actually. He knows I haven't been here since I left. He won't come here for me. Don't worry about that," she told him.
"How can you be sure?"
Cassie stood up and sighed. "I'll go. I shouldn't have come anyway. It's clear people aren't happy," she said as she turned to walk off.
Albus stood up. "Cassie. You are more than welcome here. Severus, we are going to look after Miss Potter. She has been through a lot. And we are going to help her," he said in a tone that meant no arguing.

Lucius Malfoy stormed through the hallways of Malfoy Manor. He couldn't find Cassie anywhere at all. And he was getting angry with her.
Lucius walked into Draco's bedroom. He saw his son sitting there. "Where is Cassie?" He asked as he looked to him.
"She went. She said she couldn't handle it anymore. So she left."
Anger overcame Lucius. He turned and stormed down the hallways. He walked into the bedroom and saw how Cassie had left the place in a mess. Clothes flung everywhere. The bed a mess. "I will kill her," he spat to himself.
****
Cassie followed Severus to the rooms she had been given. She sighed. "Look, I know you're mad at me. I don't know what I've done. But I'm sorry," she mumbled.
Severus turned back to her and sighed. "I'm not mad at you. I told you that he was going to destroy you. You didn't listen. And now look at you. You're a broken wreck," he said as he turned away.
Cassie nodded. "I know. I can't help how he broke me. But I'm away from him now. Sev, you were my best friend. You still can be. He just broke me," she told him.
"There's your rooms. If you need help, then call for an house elf."
"Right. Okay."
****
Lucius went to see Narcissa. He knew how she and Cassie often met up. "Hello Lucius. How nice to see you," Narcissa said with a bored tone.
"I'm not here for pleasantries. Where is Cassie?" He asked as he looked to his ex wife.
Narcissa turned to him. "And why do you assume she's here?"
Lucius rolled his eyes. "Where else would she go? Draco told me that she left. She has left our bedroom in a mess. So I would assume she's here. The two of you are always harpering on."
Narcissa raised her eyebrows. She shook her head. "No. She isn't here. If she has left you, then good for her. You're an wanker with her."
"Tut tut Narcissa. Such unbecoming language from you."
"Goodbye Lucius."
****
Cassie sat on her bed. She was reading over the letter that Lucius had sent her. She knew that he didn't know she was at Hogwarts;
Cassie,
I do hope you know that you can't escape from me.
I will always find you. And it's only a matter of time before I do find you. And I will make you pay.
Yours,
LuciusCassie felt scared. She knew he wouldn't be able to find her at Hogwarts. But she was still scared. She knew she couldn't leave the castle or Lucius could instantly find her.
Cassie had no idea how this was just the beginning of her life going on a huge rollercoaster. She knew that Lucius wouldn't give up on finding her. She just hoped she could avoid him.
