RUNNING FROM EVIL ➼ Lucius Malfoy

𝟑. 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞

Cassie sighed as she sat in bed. She had been feeling awful for a few days now. And at first, she put it down to the stress of everything that had happened with Lucius. But now she wasn't sure.

Cassie looked to the window as there was a tapping. She knew it was an owl. She quickly opened the window and frowned as she saw Lucius' owl.

CASSIE
I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE!

Cassie paled as she closed the window and locked it. She locked the door with her wand. Terrified that Lucius was going to come through at any moment. She could feel herself panicking. She didn't know what to do.

Cassie was terrified at the thought that he knew where she was. She knew someone had told him where she was. And she didn't know how to feel about it.

Cassie walked down into Severus' chambers. She looked to him. "Did you tell Lucius where I was?"

"And why would I do that?"

Cassie rolled her eyes. "Because I know you. And you would do this to get one over on me. I know you'd do this," she told him. She sighed. "And you'd do this because I chose him over you."

Severus turned to her. "You think your choices in life would make me put you in danger? You are deluded. Now I suggest you leave," he told her.

Cassie shook her head. "No. Because someone told Lucius where I was. And if it wasn't you, then it was someone here. I need to know who it is."

Severus looked to her. He nodded. "Fine. But don't ever think for a moment that your poor choices in life will make me want to put you in danger. I am not that person," he said.

"Okay. I'm sorry. I'm just scared he's going to know that I'm here. And that terrifies me. I'm living my life on edge. And I don't think anyone understands just how much I hate him," Cassie stated.

Severus knew how deep down, he was in love with Cassie. But she would never be Lily. It was always Lily who he would choose. "Lucius will never know you're here."

"He already does Severus. And it's only a matter of time before he turns up here wanting to see me," Cassie said as she turned and walked out.

Cassie walked through the corridors of the school. She saw the long blonde hair and quickly ran into an empty classroom. She hated how she was living her life in fear.

And all because she chose to escape from the monster that was meant to be the love of her life.

The door opened and Cassie paled. "What the hell?"

She saw her sister there and sighed in relief. "I thought you were Lucius. Sorry," she mumbled.

Madeline frowned. She sat with her sister. "What's going on? Why are you hiding from him? I mean I know you gave up everything to be with him. So what's going on?" She asked.

Cassie sighed as she looked to her. She took out her wand and extracted the memory. She looked to her sister. "Pensive. It hurts to talk about," she mumbled. She sighed. "Is Lucius here?"

Madeline nodded. "He is. But he was just leaving. Cass. I'm not going to like what I see in this am I?"

"No. I don't think you are."

Cassie was walking through the corridor. She wasn't paying any attention to where she was going. She knew they she was confused over everything

She sighed as she walked down the hall and stopped in her tracks. She saw Lucius. She knew it was hun. She stood back and leant against the wall.

She felt as if she couldn't breathe. She rushed back to her dorm.  She ran to the bathroom. She threw up and groaned.

She knew how messy that things were. How hard that she was trying to stay away from Lucius.

But she knew that it was easier said then done when the person who told Lucius where she was, was under the same roof.

She had no idea just how her life would soon be turned upside down.
