Lisa was focused on studying the phone while Jungkook was staring at her.

"Is this your number?" Lisa noticed that there was a phone number already stored in the phone and turned to ask.

Jungkook was stunned when he was asked this question suddenly. He just looked at her.

Lisa did not expect Jungkook to look fixedly at her in this manner and was stunned for a moment.

When Jisoo walked into the ward and saw the scene, she snickered and then coughed loudly.

Lisa and Jungkook woke up from their daze and looked at the other side to ease the awkwardness.

Jisoo walked forward and looked at the phone in Lisa's hand. "Yo! You're actually sitting on the bed and the phone came from the sky?"

"Jungkook sent it over." Lisa pursed her lips and still looked a little embarrassed.

Jisoo saw Lisa's expression and wanted to tease her even more. "Jungkook is really generous. This phone is much better than mine!"

Lisa picked up the phone and handed it to Jisoo. "Why don't we exchange?"

"I wouldn't dare!" Jisoo quickly rejected. "There might be something that Jungkook saved in here."

Thinking of the only phone number in the phone, Lisa smiled. "There's nothing! It's a new phone!"

Jisoo ignored her and sat down beside Lisa's bed. "Quick! Let me see!"

The two of them leaned their heads against each other and studied the phone's functions together, completely ignoring Jungkook.

Jungkook stood awkwardly on the spot. After a moment, he said, "I'll go buy you guys some drinks."

Jungkook then left quickly. Looking at Jungkook's back as he left, the corners of Lisa's mouth curled up slightly.

This was the first phone she had in this life, and it was also the first gift that someone had given her in her two lifetimes.

She did not know what that feeling was. However, she was really grateful to Jungkook for making her feel valued!

When Jungkook returned to the ward again, he found that Mother Kim and Jennie had come to the hospital together.

Jungkook frowned as he looked at Jennie. Jennie lowered her head throughout. She no longer looked as proud as before.

Jisoo was like a hen protecting a chick, standing in front of Lisa. Mother Kim was standing beside Lisa's bed with an apologetic expression on her face.

Jungkook walked into the ward and came to Lisa's bedside.

Mother Kim still had an apologetic expression on her face, and there were tears in the corners of her eyes. Her gaze was fixed on Lisa. "Lili, I'm begging you, okay?"

Lisa looked at Mother Kim expressionlessly. No one knew what she was thinking. Jungkook did not say anything. He just stood quietly beside Lisa.

Jisoo glared at Mother Kim angrily. "Auntie! What's the point of forcing Lili!"

"But, Nini, she..." Mother Kim said as tears were slowly flowing down her face.

"You feel sorry for Jennie. Don't you feel sorry for Lili? She's your biological daughter!" Jisoo became even angrier.

"No! That's not what I meant!" Mother Kim immediately refuted.

"I just, I just want Lili to understand us, to understand Nini's difficulties," Mother Kim said guiltily.

Jisoo suddenly sneered, "You want Lili to understand you? Have you ever understood her?"

"Jennie said that she's willing to give up everything for the Kim family. Now that she changed her mind at the last minute, and you want to use Lili as a scapegoat?" Jisoo looked past Mother Kim and glared fiercely at Jennie.

"No! This is not the case!" Mother Kim spoke again and interceded for Jennie.

"She had no choice!" The tears on Mother Kim's face were flowing down her cheeks.

"At that time, she really wanted to bear all of this for the Kim family!" Mother Kim looked back at Jennie.

Then, she walked over, pulled Jennie up, and returned to the bed.

She rolled up Jennie's sleeve and showed Lisa the injuries on her arm. "But, I didn't expect Uncle Cha to actually..."

Lisa looked at the injuries on Jennie's arms expressionlessly. The scars were of different depths and looked like she had been beaten up several times.

Jennie hurriedly pulled down her sleeve. She looked as if she was frightened and timid.

Lisa looked at Jennie's expression, and for some reason, she felt a chill in her heart.

Mother Kim looked at Jennie, and her face was full of pain. "How can Nini stand it if this goes on!"

"That's why you came here to let Lili to replace Jennie?" Jisoo's tone rose even higher, and she became even angrier.

"No! No!" Mother Kim quickly waved her arms.

"I just hope that Lili can discuss with the Lee family and see if we can continue with the engagement..." Mother Kim's gaze was fixed on Lisa, with strong sense of pleading.
