Charley didn't feel well. He had gone to school feeling fine, but now, halfway through out the day he felt horrible. His friends Cole and Harvey had noticed so they sent him to the nurses office and went home. Though now that it was in his head, Cole didn't feel too well either. In fact, several of their classmates looked quite under the weather.
Harvey jolted up from his book when a large, sloppy cough came from beside him. He turned to see Cole hunched over. He put his hand on his shoulder to help steady him, and Cole looked into his eyes. Harvey looked back at his now bloodshot sclera. A vein in his forehead was slightly redder than the rest of his skin making it stick out. But instead of accepting Harvey's help, Cole shoved him away causing him to stumble into his own desk behind him. Cole now stood over harvey as a long, thick, strand of drool dripped from his mouth. A scarlet red slightly mixed into it.
Cole readied his hand in the shape of a claw, ready to attack Harvey but the teacher pulled him back.
"Mr. Johnson! What do you think you're doing! I will not have rough housing in my classroom! Go to the principal's office! You too willous!" Harvey gaped at the mention of his own name.
"But ma'am! I didn't do any-" We was cut off by the teacher.
"No buts! Do you want a detention?" Harvey looked down, quieted. Half of the class watched them with interest while the other half... Seemed a bit out of it. Maybe a new flu was spreading around. He stood up and walked out of the classroom with Cole behind him. He felt uncomfortable as Cole kept making weird grunts and moans from behind him. Harvey also noticed the pathway of what looked like orange mucus trailing behind him.
Suddenly a classroom door in front of the slammed open causing Harvey to jump, while Cole just let off another growl. A crying girl ran out of the room holding her arm which had deep scratches down it.
"Y-You gotta help-" She was cut off as a teacher ran out of the classroom and jumped on her. He had more orange mucus running down his face as he ripped and the girls hair and clothes, tearing apart her skin as well. Harvey paled as he turned to run only for Cole to stop him. He lunged for him, trying to scratch him. Harvey held his hands to stop him until Cole started to head butt him. Harvey let out a yell of pain before shoving Cole to the side with a hard push. He quickly climbed up and started to run down the hallway with Cole and the teacher chasing behind him.
He put his hand to his nose which he realized was now bleeding down his lip. He had been hit pretty hard. He ran past a trophy case then flinched as he heard one of his pursuers crash into it. He quickly sent a glance backwards to see the teacher running slightly behind Cole, with shards of glass sticking out of him. The discarded container laid across the hallways floor with sparkling bits and gold tinted metal fallen around it. He turned back around to see the principal's office coming into view. It was the end of the hall so Harvey braced himself to run through the door, but the impact never came.
He let out a gasp of air as he collided with a bulky desk then heard the door slam behind him. He turned to see the principal panting, leaning up against the door as two loud thuds came from the other side.
"Hurry boy, push that over here." He gestured towards Harvey and the desk. He nodded and complied, shoving the heavy furniture towards the door. The principal stepped out and helped him push it against the wall, holding the door shut. Harvey turned to the authority figure to ask what was happening but was cut off when he suddenly pulled his eyes open. He stared into Harveys eyes for a second before letting go.
"You're probably confused. Some sort of brainwashing has been going through the school. You have to look for their blood-shot eyes." He said as he pointed towards his own face. "But don't worry, I called the police and they'll be here with backup soon. I sighed in relief as I leaned against the desk. I hope they can help Cole soon. It's scary seeing him like this. I heard loud growls and fighting coming from the hallway before what sounded like a body falling to the ground. The principal looked at me nervously before carefully pulling back the curtain over the doors window. I felt his hand clamp down over my mouth right before I could scream. Coles body was on the floor still, while the teacher tore him apart. He clawed at everything, pulling his hair, clothes, and skin apart. By now Cole was reduced to nothing more than a pulpy mess.
