I was standing infornt of the mirror looking at myself. My hair was open and it had not been combed for a few days. My body hair which hadn't been shaved for weeks. My clothes that I've probably been wearing for the past two days. My skin was pale and it was clearly visible that I had been eating a lot because of the fat that was visible on my stomach. I tried to starve myself to look skinnier but I always ended up eating something or the other. I wanted to look like those girls on pinterest and instagram, with paper white teeth and perfect bodies.(Olivia Rodrigo✨)

My boyfriend, well now ex-boyfriend, cheated on me a month ago with this other girl who is so much more prettier than me. Her perfect hair, her tiny waist, her summer legs, thighs with the perfect gap, her jawline, she looked just like a runway model.

I have no one in my life who actually cares about me except my bestfriend, Vinnie. He has always been there for me since we were kids. Whenever my boyfriend abused me, he was there. When I got bullied, he was there. When I felt I was not worth, he made me feel worth. When I felt like I didn't deserve anything, he showed me how much more I deserved. But when I got cheated on, he wasn't there, he was in our hometown for Christmas. We moved to New York like we always wanted to. I would've gone too but I stayed here to spend Christmas with who I thought was the love of my life.

Vinnie was going to be returning today, after a month and I was feeling better because of that. I didn't tell him anything about me getting cheated on because I didn't wanna worry him while he was enjoying with his family. I get a text message and open it.

I open the door of our apartment and wait for Vinnie. Yes, we lived in the same apartment but we had different rooms and my ex-boyfriend pretty much lived here too.

I see Vinnie coming towards me and I run towards him. You could say I was really excited.

"Hey y/n!!" Vinnie says hugging me.

"I missed you so much Vincent Hacker." I say breaking the hug.

"I missed you more y/n y/l/n."

We went inside apartment and sat on the couch.

"So how was your trip?" I ask him.

"It was great. My parents miss you so much. Even Reggie misses you. And Christmas was honestly very boring without you."

"Trust me when I say this was the worst Christmas of my life." I say.

"Where's Daniel? Hoping I would see him when I came back cause well he pretty much lives here."

"Well about that. Um he cheated on me." I said, looking at the floor.

"What? When? Why? With who?" Vinnie asked.

"Two days after you left. I don't know the name of the girl."

"So before Christmas? Y/n why didn't you tell me?" Vinnie asked holding my hand.

My eyes started to water.
