"Subject: Amy Rose, walking to friend, Cream. Visual's on her are clear. She is safe."
Amy continued to trudge along the sidewalk as she was completely oblivious to the hedgehog who had been keeping tabs on her.
Truth be told, he was fulfilling his new promise to her. Ever since the ARK, he made a promise to protect the pink one and he wasn't going to break it.
He's been at this for about 2 weeks now.
Rouge is always reassuring him saying that Amy is capable of defending herself but he refuses to listen. His new purpose in life was to protect the rose, and he was not going to fail.
"Hmm, I wonder if Sonikku will be there!" Amy mumbled to herself. Shadow had always listened to what she had to say, but it was mainly about the blue imbecile. Which made him more mad than he should be...
As if on que, the blue blur himself had sped to walk next to Amy. Amy noticing this, clomped him in one of her tight hugs that Shadow wished he could feel just once.
"A-Amy! Get off!" Sonic cried. His behavior was more hostile than usual. He usually wouldn't let Amy get to him like that...Shadow would have to keep an eye on him.
"Sonikku! Are you going to Cream's too? Have you finally agreed to go on a date with me?!"
"What?! No! If you really wanna know, I'm going to Sally's for our date." Sonic emphasized, shattering Amy's heart. Shadow growled once he saw the broken look in her eyes.
"You're dating Sally?" Amy muttered.
"Yes, Amy. I don't like you and you should know this by now. Now, I'm going and please just leave me alone for once." Sonic surprisingly glared at her before he took off. Silent tears going down Rose's cheeks.
Shadow knew what he had to do next.
"Subject: Amy Rose, suffering from emotional damage. Her safety is assured. New objective: Make Sonic pay." Shadow took off behind Sonic and followed him to Sally's kingdom.
He wouldn't allow anyone getting away with hurting the Rose.

It's been two days since that event had happened to Amy. Shadow had noticed that she hadn't left her house much, and though, it kept her safe. He didn't like how sad she was over the Faker.
He was grateful that Amy never found out Sonic was beaten to his near death by him, and he was thankful Sonic never told anyone why Shadow did so. But unfortunately, the main problem was still unresolved.
Amy Rose was still hurt.
Shadow didn't really know what he could do to help her. He was really only good at protecting others physically. He wasn't very experienced with feelings as he had not had anyone to share them with since the ARK.
As Shadow was brainstorming idea's to make Amy feel better he failed to notice that the rose had went outside to check her mail. He sat up from his spot in the bush and watched her.
She was safe.
He continued to watch her until he was sure that she had went back inside safely. Then, he sat back down in the bush and continued to contemplate how to make her happy again.
Maybe Rouge would know?
Shadow shook his head. Rouge was never one for feelings either. In fact, he was positive she was probably at Angel Island trying to steal the Master Emerald. Shadow sighed, unsure of what to do.
Could he call one of her friends?
That could work. Except, Shadow didn't have any of their contacts and he didn't want to leave Amy alone with threats wandering. A thought popped into his mind, would Amy have any of their contacts written down?
