"Thanks for picking me up."You sigh, tipsily climbing into the passenger seat of Kita's car after you finished the bottle of plum wine you plucked from Osamu. After his brother dug up an awful memory from your past— you just wanted to do whatever you could to forget it. Unfortunately, that left you unable to drive yourself home at such a god awful hour in the middle of the night.
Luckily, Kita came to your rescue, as he's done many times before— the two of you maintaining a strong friendship throughout the years of your blessed time knowing such a valiant man. He was like the older brother you never had, always there to help you out with whatever you needed. It was no surprise he was there to answer your call, despite the fact that he was prompted from his slumber.
"You're lucky I was even in town. What would you have done if I was out on the farm?" He begins to lecture, per usual, to which you playfully roll your eyes as you struggle to buckle your seat belt. He's quick to reach around your body to grab the belt— a bit frustrated at the fact that you've let yourself get into such a drunken stupor— and buckle you in so that he can get you home and in bed, safe and sound.
"Then I guess I would've had to sleep at my desk." You gripe, eyeing the bi-colored head of hair that passes over in front of you as you're strapped safely into the seat. "You're a life-saver Shin— best friend've ever had."
