The night before Christmas: Lucy lies awake, imagining how Christmas could be in Hogwarts. She falls asleep dreaming about the decorations and a typical Christmas.

Lucy wakes up and sees something at the end of her bed. Did she get presents? There is one big package and a little one. She carefully takes the bigger one. It feels fluffy and soft. She removes the wrapping paper and finds a beautiful purple jumper.

The small gift is next. Lucy looks at it. Although the message is more significant than the package itself. 'Keep it close. It was your mothers.'

She holds it in her hand in front of her. It feels special. She never had anything from her parents. Of course, she asked about them in the orphanage, but they couldn't tell her anything, not even what they looked like.

The wrapping paper feels thin like it should be transparent. Unwrapping it, Lucy holds a silver necklace with a small bluestone.

Ron looks at Lucy when she enters the common room: 'She made you a jumper too.' He sighs: 'I told her you two didn't expect anything.'

Lucy is wearing her purple one and sees that Harry is holding his own. It's a green emerald colour. 'She makes us one every year.' Ron tells them.

'I think it's nice of her', Lucy says.

'Yes, it's very nice.' Harry says. He tells Lucy about his other presents while distracted by his last one. He got something from Hagrid and a coin from the Dursleys.

'Open it.' Ron encourages him. He wants to know what it is, just like Lucy. It's Harry's present so they wait.

Harry opens it, and it's a cape of smooth fabric. Harry puts it on.

'Do you know what it is?' Lucy asks. At the same, Ron says: 'I know what that is.'

'what is it?' Lucy asked. Ron looks shocked. It's almost as if he doesn't believe the cape is real. That it's something exceptional.

'An invisibility cloak.' Ron states.

'Yes, that I see too, but....' Lucy says because she cannot see Harry anymore. She can only see his face. Harry looks down and almost drops the cape.

'It's rare. I would give everything to have one,' Ron answers Lucy.

'There's a note with it.' Harry tells them: 'It was from your father, use it well'.

Lucy holds her hand on her jumper over her necklace.

Fred and George barge in. They are wearing a blue jumper, one with an F and one with a G.

'George, look! Harry and Lucy have jumpers, but theirs are better.' Fred says, holding up Harry's jumper.

'It's obvious she tries harder when you aren't family. Why aren't you wearing your jumper? Ron, Lucy is wearing hers', George tells Ron.

'I hate this brownie colour', he complains while wearing the sweater.

Lucy laughs when she sees George chase Ron. Harry gets his sweater back and decides to wear it. She sees Fred jump over the couch where Percy stands.' P from prefect You have to wear it.' Fred holds it in front of his older brother.

'And you will sit with us, your family,' George says, standing beside his twin: 'Christmas is a family holiday.' Ron chuckles, now with his brown sweater on.

When the Weasleys, Harry and Lucy arrive in the great hall, they see that the setting has changed. Instead of four tables representing the different houses, one big table now seats everyone. Most students and teachers went home for the holidays.

Although only a few people are here to enjoy the meal, you see that the house elves did their best. Everything tastes amazing. Ron tries putting every option on his plate. Fred and George eat every dessert, probably twice.

After the meal, Harry and Ron make Lucy go outside. They throw a snowball at her. When she throws one back at them, it misses them both and hits George. He takes some snow and looks at Fred, who grins. This starts a snowball fight.

All the Weasley, Harry and Lucy have a fantastic time. They have some leftovers from lunch for dinner. After that, They're all so full Lucy, Harry, and Ron take seats in front of the fire. It must have been the best Christmas she has ever had.
