Harry walks next to Hagrid: 'Why are we here? I thought you said we'll buy all these things in London.'
'You're not the only one that needs to get their stuff.' Hagrid says: 'Dumbledore said she would know we'd pick her up. He thought it would be good for the both of you.'
'What would be a good thing?' Harry asks. Who is the other person?
'Now, because you know her, maybe all the changes would be easier.' He said: 'We're almost there, at the end of the street.'
Someone else with magic at the end of the street: that's where the orphanage is. Which girl lives there that would have magic: 'You mean Lucy.' He says, remembering that the other girls at the school called her a witch. They didn't mean anything good by it. Apparently, strange things happen around her.
'Yes, Lucy, that's it. How do you know?'
'She got bullied. They said she did impossible things.' Harry said. And then he saw her, she was waiting at the end of the street in front of the building. Lucy waves at them: 'Hello, Harry.'
He didn't know she knew him. 'Lucy, hey.' But maybe she knows him because of how much his nephew makes fun of him.
'Hey, I'm Hagrid.'
She shakes his hand. 'Thank you for helping me out. I have no idea where I can buy all these things.'
'It's no problem. Harry here needs to get his stuff as well.'
'I have a problem, sir.' Lucy asks politely.
'No sir, say Hagrid.'
'Ok, Hagrid, I don't have any money.'
'Neither do I?' Harry realizes. He hadn't thought about it.
Hagrid laughs: 'We' go and take some from both of your vaults. Harry, you didn't think your parents left you without anything. You have your own vault, and so do you, Lucy; your mother ensured Professor Dumbledore had the key.'
Lucy has never been to London before. She looks everywhere, from the people to the shops and the bars. She always stays behind Hagrid; it makes things easier. Harry follows behind her, and when they stop, he almost runs into her.
'We're here.' Hagrid says: 'The leaky cauldron, it's a famous bar.'
She looks at it. It doesn't stand out. Everyone else seems to walk past it, not giving one look at it. Hagrid takes them inside. Everyone seems to know Harry. Many of them stand up to shake his hand. Harry doesn't seem to understand what's happening and looks very uncomfortable. When they leave the space and stand outside in a small courtyard, Hagrid says: 'The last one was Professor Quirrell. He teaches defence against the dark arts.' And to Harry, he says: 'Didn't I tell you that you are famous.'
'Famous?' Lucy asks.
'Oh yeah, He is Harry, famous.' Hagrid mumbles: 'four, five, eight.' And he tapped the point of his umbrella three times against the same brick. 'Wait.'
Harry stands next to her until something happens. It's unbelievable; the wall starts to open. A small hole in the wall appears, growing larger until the three of them fit through, including Hagrid. 'Welcome to Diagon Alley.'
They walk through the street, past all the stores or other things. Lucy thinks she saw an ice cream place. They stop in front of a building,' Gringotts Wizarding Bank.' Hagrid says: 'We'll start here. You need to get your money if you want to buy something.' Lucy looks up at the white building. 'Come on.' Hagrid says. And she sees that Harry is at the entrance.
Enter, stranger, but take heed
Of what awaits the sin of greed
For those who take, but do not earn,
Must pay most dearly in their turn.
So if you seek beneath our floors
A treasure that was never yours,
Thief, you have been warned, beware
Of finding more than treasure there
Through the doors is a vast marble hall with long counters stretching along its length with doors leading off to the vault passageways. Hagrid keeps walking, and she and Harry follow, both looking around. When Hagrid stops, someone asks what their business is. 'We got some vaults to visit.' He searches his pockets: 'We need to collect some money from the vaults of Harry Potter and Lucy Jones.'
'Keys, please.'
When Hagrid finds them, he holds them up. Then he gives a small note and whispers something: 'Then there is the thing from vault 713, you know?'
'Excellent.' He says: 'I'll have someone bring you to those vaults.'
